Yo Girlies.
Couldn't think of a name for the mix, so the date will have to do. You know what you're gonna get from me these days, with Virtual DJ - relatively clean, decent mixing, but very straightforward and minimal trickery. I really need to experiment more with Virtual DJ, but it's so bloody hard with the shitty little touch-pad on my laptop.
Anyways, I reckon it's actually a pretty tasty tracklist. Kicks off at a leisurely 180bpm, but gets cranked up a bit towards then end, for the last couple of tracks that are more recent. Most of the tracks are a good few years old though. Some real gems.
This link is for a 128kbps version (80MB), but if anyone really wants a 320kbps file (200MB), I'm uploading one now, so let me know. Run time - just a tad under 90 minutes.

Gaz: Does is sound that bad? I haven't listened to the 128 version. I just did as I normally do - record using Audacity, then convert the wav to a 320 mp3 and a 128 mp3. The converter has been known to screw things up before though. I'll stick to 320's in the future.

It could deffo be a clearer recording. I'm not sure it's just the fact that it's 128 either. It sounds a bit muffled. Perhaps a bad mp3 converter but I'm not sure that it would really effect a recording in that way. More likely something iffy in the chain when you are actually recording perhaps? Saying that I still wouldn't drop below 192 for a mix personally. ;)
Oh and thanks for using DATD too. ;) somehow missed it reading the TL and forgot to mention last post after hearing it. :D

I had a quick listen and I can see where AW is coming from. It does sound a little muffled. It's probably down to VDJ or something. I'm not sure what the sound quality is like on that but it feels like it's being played from inside a muddy puddle or something. |

Yeah, I've just been comparing it to other mixes and it does sound pretty cloudy. Mmm, well that's fcuking annoying. I hope it's not like that in future. I'll test it out later today, with a new recording.

I don't see why you record in Audacity anyway, there's a record feature in the VDJ program that lets you save to an audiofile as you go along. :P |
