ccr What did you guys think of the tracklisting? I personally was presently suprised.

capone13 I think it looks great. There's so many upfront releases on it and many other tunes that stand out. I have 2 say that Scott Brown's mix looks bangin'

DJ J-me
DJ Mole The listing looks great, Scott Brown will most likely be for me this episode as it has CRAZY LOVE -FCUKIN AMAZING would reach number 1 in UK charts no problemo

Iain Craig
Simon Looks alright, nothing suprising....so I'll just have to have more thoughts when I actually hear the thing!

Same here, cant really say by just hearing the track names. Although its nice that most of the track names are new to me :)

DJ Superman ditto, looks nice and up-front but the proof is in the mixing

whizz-billy-the-kid's got you in his sights
capone13 Same here mate. I'm always interested in the upfront tunes 2 see what they're like but the mixing also has to up to scratch cause its a good way of getting tips for doing your own mixes. Its also good to hear some top quality work from the DJ's.

DJ J-me
virus hmm..

[CD3-15] - [Cesar Benito, David Pamies] - Torn (Scott Brown Karaoke Mix)

[CD4-14] - [Cesar Benito, David Pamies] - Torn (Breeze, DJ & Styles Remix)

odd..

djtommyrenegade SB's mix looks good for me :D

djDMS Looks fine to me, think i'll reserve judgement until i hear it though.

capone13 The Scott Brown Tracklisting looks bangin', the only thing i'm unsure about is the tracks lasting for a suitable enough time and that they're all not a 3 minute case cause that's what was wrong with his Bonkers XI Mix as some of the best tunes only lasted a couple of minutes.

DJ J-me
Seany Im upset with Hixxys's mix...Got half the tracks on other albums...Months old...Well i think its all about SB And Breeze & Styles on this :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DJ Phoenix i like the fact it has a lot of up-front tunes on it, also the bucket full of UFO tracks...! The tracklisting is screwed at the bottom though? (like what Virus posted)

warped_candykid I cant wait for it! I havent heard any of these tunes becasue since i am in America, its kinda hard to get some recent cds. So its Styles and Breeze's mix a breakbeat mix? or a happycore mix like Hixxy's? How do 2 djs mix 1 cd?

Seany Hixxy Is mixing a 'Hardcore' CD And Breeze & Styles are also mixing a 'Harcdore' CD ,Both of the trancy form.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
atomicb Well done to my mate Ben Vader for getting Enraptured Soulz on Sharkeys CD :)

Scotts Gabber looks good, Hixxy's and B+S discs look a little dull for my liking :(

pacman yeah doesn't look too actually, except where's the faber and da suza mix of heartbeatz? and storm and euphony's 'breathe'? yeah i know these were both on hardcore til i die but i think particularly the storm track deserved to make it on to bonkers! no-one gives storm the recognition and credit he deserves - that track is simply brilliant...

drugs is not the answer... drugs? is the question... yes is the answer
CDJay "Breathe" should have been on Bonkers 11, it shouldn't be on Bonkers 12.

Agree he gets nowhere near the recognition he ( and euphony ) deserve, the real question is why isn't "turn around" or any of the bang! things on there.

TBH it looks better than I expected, however I really dissaprove of the repeated tracks that have been on one OR MORE recent compilations, there is no need for it at all.

Despite looking better than I expected, it IS exactly what I expected in terms of how many RB affiliated tracks there are. % wise it's getting ridiculous, I think it's tenuous to even describe Bonkers as a hardcore CD anymore.

warped_candykid Oh, sorry Smilee, i meant to say 'hardcore' really...i did, i just sorda forgot how much of a bitchy baby you tend to be if someone calls hardcore 'happy hardcore'. It's the same damn thing Smilee, get over it! Do you got to be this way on both message boards?

Seany "Do you got to be this way on both message boards?"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
tklown Lots of new tracks, looks awesome. Not too fond of Hixxy's mix with all the old tracks, but oh well :)

my sentiments exactly D:

but on a lighter note im sure sharkeys and scott browns mixes would still make the cd a more than worthy purchase

AMS & Robbie Long - Kill Bill and Neophyte & Evil Activites - Alles Kapot

* grabs an old rag to remove sprog from keyboard *

also good to see Billy Bunter back, even if it is just a remix.

SO LOCK DOWN ON MY LOWDOWN, LISTEN OUT!!

virus my post was refering the fact that there was one track on one cd, and a remix on a different cd.. seemed odd..

ccr Isn't the Scott Brown stuff like "Blue Anthem" called Nu Style Happy Hardcore?

Seany Happy hardcore name was dropped ,Some of the big names dont even like the name....Its just Uk hardcore/Nu-Style Harcore to me.

I do agree some of the stuff coming out of quosh at the mo...Does have a strong happy element...Other than that...

the happy stuff Happy Hardcore (lol)
the recent stuff Hardcore

agreed. one of my all time favourites

rhythm is your liberation!
DJ Phoenix i didn't really like that video... Whats the point in doing a commercial if you're going to dot that?! The music was really really quiet unlike the Bonkers X & 11 ones... And it looked like a computer game rather than a CD? It made Hardcore look like a pile of crap and is really pointless in winning over new fans in my book

IT'S A HARDCORE THING
hooverlover saw it too, and no i'm not suprised at it, I knew it would be like this... to be honest I think the adverts for it for 10 11 12 have been crap, it some how never shows how good the album really is. for a start on this new one, I can't stand that blokes voice on the top, he needs a good head kickin it's too cheesey like he's trying to hard to make it sound mad. infact I also hated the voice overs for 10 and 11! sorry for the moaning but the ads for bonkers aren't that good really - aimed at kids like they think that's their main target audience when it's not.

djhixxy_h_t_i_d personally i thought the advert was quite good..althought the voice is a bit dodgy!the best advert was Bonkers X!

DJ Hixxy...Hardcore Till I Die..H...T...I..D.. Hardcore.....Till I DIIEEE!!!
Keko I think the advert is wicked!

'Whats the point in doing a commercial if you're going to dot that?!'

What was the point in doing a Matrix based commercial and an X-men based commercial then?

Did the Bonkers 11/Theme make hardcore look cool? bwahhaha ..I think not!

Sorry to piss on your bonfire ...But hey..

'And it looked like a computer game rather than a CD? It made Hardcore look like a pile of crap and is really pointless'

Again..Explain sonny jim

DJ Phoenix Use Quotes Keko, mate... I nearly didnt respond as i didnt know this was directed at me at first... I'll explain what i mean now:
"Whats the point in doing a commercial if youre going to do that?!"
what i meant was, it did Hardcore no favours... The music was really quiet and it focused on acting like a computer game rather than focusing on the music... which is what we all buy it for! Hardcore is a sorta hidden genre... We don't commercialise that often, and when we do it like that, it doesnt do the best genre in the world any favours in trying to sell its products.

dont think he did 10 & 11... But on the 12 Video, it was his voice, but he hyped it up a bit - he doesn't sound that mad all the time.

silver Sharkey has done the voice overs on ALL the bonkers TV commericals.

I like the ad, simple and straight to the point, remember it's not aimed at hardcore people as they will already buy the album because they like hardcore (with or without the ad), it's more aimed at people that have lost touch with the hardcore scene or new people that want to get into the hardcore scene.

KinokoBoy I can't wait to hear Breeze and Style's cd!!!

Hardcore will die if it goes Cheezy!!! Keep it Hard and Trancy!!!!
teknorokar looks quality, best front cover yet (good start), seems 2b a good line up of songs especially on hixxys and scott browns mixes, plus react are trying something new with 4 cds, which cant b a bad thing can it? so cant wait 2 hear it, but even if its shit, still have 2 buy it 2 keep hardcore alive.....hardore will never die!

Join He Who Walks Behind The Rose
capone13 I think this is definately the best Bonkers release for a while now. Each mix has a top track selection and each cd is mixed well.

I'm really liking Sharkeys mix this time as its a lot better than his previous mixes.

Scott Browns mix is wild as always and most of the tracks are longer.

Hixxys mix is also top quality with a great selection of tunes.

The Breeze & Styles mix is also good with a lot of their new tracks and remixes.

DJ J-me
Triquatra listening to it at the moment - im really enjoying it, it seems a bit fresher than 11, which smelt of the other hardcore cds out at the time lol

_Jay_ Someone's just been discussing this album on facebook. Thought I'd have a look back in time and see what you punks thought about it at the time, since I regard it as one of the better (top three) from the series.

The Legend's mix blows me away still. Amazing.

No, I just mean when everyone's throwing a strop about the latest tracklist looking shit or whatever - Deano strolls in with the standard "I'll wait until I've heard it" line (rightly so), and I'm pleased to discover he's been consistent all these years!

WHAT a fcuking track! Capitals and italics for that one. Many-a-time I've turned to that track on the last leg of a run when my lungs feel like they're going to explode.

Not recently though. I'm a disgustingly fat piece of shit at the moment. #BloatedRaver
DJ Hellfury The Sun was the last big hit Re-Con did imo, even though I love his tunes with hixxy on bonkers 15
_Jay_ Re-Con has done some exceptional stuff over the years. This is one of my favourites. Really original sound to it. Again, another I'd love to have digitally.

Re-Con - Enjoy:

Hard2Get Yet another Trance rip. The fact i don't like any version of it, including the 80's original, doesn't help. As soon as i saw the name i knew what it would be a rip of.
kathryn I love Bonkers 12 especially Scott Brown cd
jimmyhypa depeche mode - Enjoy The Silence.

Sign to that! Love that track.

Breeze & Styles mix on this CD was great (especially the start), although it had a few sections which I frequently skipped through. Overall it was one of the better Bonkers for me across all four CDs with Scott Brown and Sharkey especially being on top form!
_Jay_ Even though it's on probably my least favourite of the discs, Hixxy's mix of Close Your Eyes is proper powerful. I actually used to not really like it. The gorgeous opening vocal always seemed to fade into a pretty - nice enough but - average tune. Then within the last few years I've really started to like it.

From 1m48s onwards - LOVE that.

Impact & In Effect - Close Your Eyes (Hixxy Remix)

wong i love close your eyes, really do love it. i really like pex l's remix too
