This idea it reminds me of Hardcore History back in 2013, that was my first contribution here in the forum (along with a lot of DJs), was freaking fun and insane.

About the behind the scene, I had a little bit issues before to submit, I was busy moving on some audio files (Hardcore Labels, lol) to others computer due to OS upgrade, sadly MusicILove get me in touch in a hard moment at the first time. At last, behind as a last DJ in the set, the problem has been 'solved' (see PS). So I didn't have any problems to submit.

Credits goes to everyone involved, I will play during the next running. But listened the first 2 sets, Freeform and bouncy cheese hardcore, sweet vibes.

PS: Any one want support me to drop more mixes? Really my computer is dying by overheating D:

All types of DJ welcome. Vinyl, CDJ, Controller, & Software. All I ask is that you are confident in mixing and have a way to record. All genres of hardcore welcome. You can have a few tracks of other genres as long as they keep the speed fast. How it will work. When people have signed up I shall assign them a number based on when they signed up. Those numbers will go in to the Google random number generator. This will decide the order. Every DJ gets 30 minutes. Of course it can run slightly over or under. Once the first DJ has finished their section they send it to me and I shall cut the last track off. Probably at the first break giving the next DJ plenty of time to get ready for their section. Then they send me their section and I shall do the same until everyone has submitted their section. Once completed I shall glue the sections together making the final mix. Then I shall share the finished mix with everyone involved and they can distribute it however they want. (Mixcloud, Soundcloud, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. Wherever. I would also like to get it on the radio but I don?t know who to contact or whether there is any length limit. The final file will be MP3 320. I would like to include idents for all of the DJs so the listener knows when the DJ changes. If you have a Ident or drop please use it at the break of your first track. If you don't have one you can ask someone to make one for you or I shall make one that just say's your name using my mac's build in voices. You can choose the name. For example I am going to use the sample at 22 seconds in The Music I Love (Sys Re-Rub) I also still need a proper title. Any suggestions Rules 1 To participate you must be a member of HappyHardcore.com 2 You must have at least 25 Posts as of today November 19th 2019. Or have been a member for at least 6 months with at least 15 posts. 3 You must be able to record your section directly from your mixer or software. 4 Try and keep it fast. 5 I think we need to decide on a BPM that everyone starts and finishes on. Post down below your preferred BPM. Whatever speed changes you do in your section are up to you but again keep it fast. 6 Try and keep you'r levels under control. A few peaks here and there are ok but try and keep the overall volume the same. 7 Your final file must be WAV, AIFF or MP3 320. 8 You must use the artwork provided when posting online 9 You must give credit to everyone involved when posting online. 10 You must submit a track list with your section so we can avoid playing the same track twice, and so we can post a final trackless when it's finished. 11 During your last track you must centre all EQ's, Filters and let it play all the way to the end without effects. 12 During the first track Before you start mixing you must centre all EQ?s & filters 13 Your last track must be full length DJ friendly. 14 You will have 5 days to complete your mix once I send you the file. 15 You must include the track of the last person which I shall send you from the beginning of the file I send. Which will start at the first break. This will make it easier for me to cut them together. Your time starts when you start mixing. Excellent you have been added to the list. It will start from when you start mixing. It's only rough because the file you send me will have the previous persons last track in it. Perhaps starting a stopwatch or timer when you start mixing to keep track of time will help. You can go a few minutes over or under. If you are in a transition when 30 minutes is over carry on your transition as intended and let the last track play all the way to the end.

I will send people the last track from the first break from the person before. The file you will get will be about 3, 4 or perhaps 5 minutes long.
MusicILove	As this will most likely be going on over Christmas and new year the 5 days can be flexible. If you need a week or 10 days because you are busy that will be ok.
Rhoobarb2005	I pretty much have a tracklist sorted now, and seem to be sticking quite close to 175bpm
djDMS	Are you going to have to pre-approve tracklists? Unless you tell each DJ what's been played so far (which kind of spoils it) there's no way of knowing if anything is being repeated.

I was going to send everyone the tracklist along with the previous persons last track. How about we do both. If you don't mind knowing the tracklist then I shall send it to you along with the audio. But If you want to keep it a surprise then you can send me a tracklist before you do your section and I shall let you know if there are any duplicates. Or if you don't want to know what's been played but want to do your section as it comes without a pre determined tracklist. You can have the option of no tracklist. I will still need a tracklist once you have completed you'r section for the completed Mix and in case the next DJ wants it or they want to get theirs pre approved.
djDMS	Yeah, that would work. I'm definitely not planning my part, want it to be as random as it comes. I don't mind seeing the tracklist of what's gone before me, just wont look at it too closely.

MusicILove	In theory it's only a 5 possibly 5 and a half hour mix. That's ok at the moment if it hits 100 hours I'll consider making 2 but that will never happen. I was surprised in the interest. I was concerned 4 people wouldn't commit so to have 9 possibly 10 plus me is amazing. If anyone else wants to join you still can you have until Sunday at 11.59pm GMT. The more the merrier I like a challenge.
MusicILove	I don't think there is a file size limit for MP3 that we have any chance in hitting. I don't think many people are using FAT32 anymore. I hope.

MusicILove	I just had a thought for the vinyl DJs I know there is not necessarily a way for them to know exactly what speed they are playing at. So just to clarify for those people you don't have to stick exactly to the end speed just be around that area. Just so if the next person wants to come in and play UK hardcore at say 175 - 160 BPM they're not starting from 200 BPM with a very high-pitched track. Don't worry too much about speed accuracy as long as you're close. I'll wait until Sunday to see exactly what speed people want. I want to make it as easy as possible for everyone involved.

I believe limits encourage creativity. 30 minutes might encourage someone to attempt a transition that they normally wouldn't do to squeeze their final track in.

LeVzi	So what era's are people going for ? Hard to think about what to play tbh not gonna sound good in the mix if you go from 2010 to 1995
MusicILove	I start in 2001 and go to 2015 but the 2015 track is not like what the mainstream were putting out at that time.

MusicILove	I have got the perfect segment it really works however I can?t squeeze it in to 30 minutes. So slight rule change you can go a bit longer than 30 minutes also don?t Forget the time starts when you start mixing in your first track and ends when you finish mixing in your last track don?t count your last track to your time limit. I?m adding an extra 5 minutes to my segment. If anyone else wants to do the same feel free.

Feel free to go over by five minutes if you need to I tried everything possible to get my mix length down but even after doing and cutting as much as I could it's still going to be about 35 minutes. If this goes well I would in future like to do more and perhaps do a hardcore history style thing but where it is actually in date order. Each DJ would choose a year or multiple years to cover and we could then build a mix going through the years and styles of hardcore. Just an idea
djDMS	Well, the best of 'insert years here' project that was looking really promising a while back never happened so maybe that could be resurrected?
MusicILove	Maybe we'll see how this goes. I'm hoping I thought of everything however if there is something I haven't thought of at least i'll learn from the experience. I was thinking of doing one of these every six months or so. Perhaps around spring or summer next year might be a nice time to do it. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I can't wait to get this one started and see the end result. I feel like I'm doing something good for once.

MusicILove	Update. Hi Iv'e had to scrap the idea of me making dj intro sections, I just couldn't make it work. I'm going to try and make a sample that says something like DJ change that way the listener knows it's a different dj. MusicILove	All sorted. She is on tour, I have said we can wait until she gets back next weekend. I became unwell yesterday afternoon. I know she doesn?t check her pm?s that often so I was hoping someone could remind her on Facebook. She said she would do it when she got back from Australia but she might of forgot or had flight issues or whatever. Plus there is the time zone difference. My plan is. Recover. Monday & Tuesday Finish the mix on Wednesday. Hopefully getting the last section before Wednesday morning. I thought a lot about the distribution. I didn?t feel right uploading it on my accounts it was a joint effort and I feel everyone should have a chance to distribute it. I did consider making a separate account to distribute it on but I felt that would mean it would only get viewed by people who knew about it or took part. If it goes on everyone?s accounts it will reach more people than just those on the forum. People don?t have to post it if they don?t want to it?s just so that everyone has the option. I get your point about feedback but I want everyone who took part to feel they got the same opportunities as everyone else. They can post their links to the thread when they release it and I shall post everyones upload links on the first page so people can check them out in one place. I haven?t decided wether I?m going to open a new thread in the releases section or keep it all to this thread. I also want feedback on wether people want downloads to be publicly available or just available to stream. I shall let you all decide. Editing is done. The current length is 6 Hours 21 Minutes. The wav file is 4.03 GB and the 320 Kbps MP3 is 914 MB Hopefully YouTube doesn't flag anything and block it. I will upload it before it goes out and keep it private to see if it gets blocked. If it does I can inform people so they don't waste time uploading. If the last section arrives in time then it will be included if the time runs out then it will go up as it is. Now I'm better tomorrow I will try and do the artwork. It won't be anything special. My other attempts have all been awful. I want to try and do something nice looking.

MusicILove	You are right. I just worked out what's happened. Turns out Final Cut Pro is stupid and for no reason decided to make it dual mono. I don't know why it did it to this video. Unfortunatly The video took over 24 hours to export, upload and process so I can't do it again. All I can do is learn the lesson for the future and try and remember to check that setting every time. Looking on the bright side I am one of those people who listens to music when walking and I only use 1 AirPod allowing me to hear what's around me. For people like that or for those listening on a mono bluetooth speaker it won't sound weird. For the stereo version it has to be Mixcloud. Although it takes a while to start playing. Sorry for the issue. I have never opened the audio inspector in Final Cut Pro I had to Google where to find it. I just drag the audio in to the project and then do the video elements.

I chose to quote that because that is similar to what was running through my mind when I realised the error. I couldn?t find the actual clip I wanted so I just used that because I thought it was funny. I found the clip I was after it?s at 35 seconds. The clip came into my head the second I realised. It?s from my favourite episode of The Vicar Of Dibley. Feel free to upload. The more uploads the further reach the better. I?ll post all upload links on the first page. MusicILove	.cue files added to the folder Thanks to DJGouda / San Frisco for creating this for us. I have included what he said in the PM so that people can understand what's going on and why there are 3 files. quote: I included two different version of the .cue file becuase I unfortunately noticed that some cue splitters have a maximum track limit at 99. Most cue splitters should be able to work the big cue file, however as an alternative I also made a version with two cue files instead. The first one goes up to track 98. Track 99 is the rest of the mix, which can be deleted. The second cue files starts exactly where the first one left off. However it counts them from 1-20, so they still need to be renamed after that.

I adore to mix stuff and sometimes, drop mashups, sadly and lately, I didn't added some old mashup or done a brand new til get the people sick, like that JAKAZiD ? JAKAZiD mashup featured in the forgotten Hardcore Summer Bash set (did anyone forgot this?). This idea it reminds me of Hardcore History back in 2013, that was my first contribution here in the forum (along with a lot of DJs), was freaking fun and insane. About the behind the scene, I had a little bit issues before to submit, I was busy moving on some audio files (Hardcore Labels, lol) to others computer due to OS upgrade, sadly MusicILove get me in touch in a hard moment at the first time. At last, behind as a last DJ in the set, the problem has been 'solved' (see PS). So I didn't have any problems to submit. Credits goes to everyone involved, I will play during the next running. But listened the first 2 sets, Freeform and bouncy cheese hardcore, sweet vibes. PS: Any one want support me to drop more mixes? Really my computer is dying by overheating D:
DJGouda	Now that I have had multiple listens through most of the section, I feel like I can give some feedback on the individual mixes. Please take the criticism with a pinch of salt, most of it is very subjective. Here are the first two: Rhoobarb: - Great varied selection of mostly lesser known tunes mixed with a few big classics - Even though your mix features mostly freeform/trancecore tunes I really enjoyed the few happy hardcore tunes you put inbetween - Really enjoyed your style of mixing, really missed the longer transitions from back in the days - Eclipse - Stairway To Brooklyn really works wonders as the final track of a mix, love its epic atmosphere - The transition to Round & Round (Styles & Breeze Remix) is the only one I think doesn't work as well as soon as the vocals come in Favourite track: Stairway To Brooklyn, with Round & Round (Styles & Breeze Remix) as close second Favourite transition: Star Dust -> Synergy DJ FunDaBounce: - Big ups for the scratching in your mix, you're really good at it - Also enjoyed that you included some of your own tracks as well, they can compete with the other tracks in terms of production quality - The tracklist is quite a lot of fun, love the sound of hardcore from that era - Only track I don't like is Your Love, I enjoy the pianos but find the rest of the track rather dull and empty Favourite track: Eufeion - Crowd Go Donk (how did I not know this one, BANGER!) Favourite transition: Jam Jam -> Crowd Go Donk

When I got the section I was so worried, upset and didn't know what to do. I wasn't sure if the next person DMS would be able to mix in to it. I contacted him and he put my mind at rest that it was ok and he could do it. So it turned out to not be a big deal. At the time I felt it was like the world ended for me I didn't know how to handle it. So to M@rt!n-J I'm sorry I was so upset at you. It all turned out fine in the end. Thanks to DMS for putting up with my panicked messages. I would also Like to give a huge thanks to DJ FunDaBounce he was there for me on launch night. I was so worried I had made mistakes, Got names & Album Art wrong. Messed up the mix by not putting sections together correctly. Our conversations over PM really helped. I wouldn't of slept that night otherwise. I was extremely worried. I'm so glad it turned out good. Thanks again to everyone.

There is nothing worse than coming to find a song or a mix you want a few years later only to find every trace of it is gone.

MusicILove	MP3 file has been fixed. It was a Cubase issue. Every time I exported in Cubase I got the same result. New MP3 is in the MEGA folder named the same as the previous one.
