Not something i would go for but can you pass on my regards to the team for some great releases lately and your hard work is appreciated?
Coolgamer Mr. Al Storm, please. PLEASE. A lossless digital release or cd.

So many good songs. So much epicness. But me and other poor people have no vinyl setup.

As a Bang! obsessive, I need that remix in particular. PLEASE.

Haven?t made a full decision on digital yet, hence no direct promises, they will in some form though just want to see how the vinyl projects actually work numbers wise without it as they will probably be more frequent if it works leaving bigger bundle opportunities and way more fun stuff for us to all do :)

I do appreciate vinyl isn?t everyone?s thing.. but for me, physical product is what keeps me interested in releases, and keeps the label with a strong backbone but to be fair we release 4+ releases a month digitally so we do get a good balance I think!

Of course mate, thank you!

Alex Threat I think it's a great idea! I love collecting vinyl and this one looks absolutely amazing! I'm the same Al, I love having a physical item to add into my collection, whether it's a CD, vinyl, or even a USB. Collecting MP3s just isn't quite the same! But I would also like a digital version of it also to use

Vinyl is an inaccessible format for me but not only that I hate the sound. However I would buy it if you gave out digital copies with it.

It's why I brought the first fractured minds vinyl because it had the digital copy. However that was then changed after purchase and so was the tracklist and I had to cancel which was an ordeal inn it's self. Hardcore Underground wouldn't cancel it. So I went through PayPal. Hardcore Underground lied to PayPal and claimed to of sent it and used a different order and tracking number to say they had delivered. I spend 2 hours on the phone with Pay Pal proving they were lying.

I don't know why you would choose to not give out a digital copy as well because that site does support it. You only hurt your own sales as people like me would buy it for the digital.

Why cut off a large part of your audience?

I used to love physical media. However the many MANY issues I have had (Still waiting on the Anthologies...) have put me off entirely. Plus leaning more on screen reader use mean I am not as reliant on CDs as I once was.

Just disappointed. Really want Surrender (Gammer Remix) Been waiting half a decade. Surely it's the near future now.

Yeah I hear that mate, its very likely just want to make the decision how its attached and timescales etc, there will be without doubt. Due to an offer at the QRATES site we rushed through the ideas, before a deadline that?s why the track list is hazy, and artwork is rough.

At the moment it looks like download cards inside the vinyl with a code is the best way and fairest, but like you said you had some bad issues with previous orders which I can only apologise for but that is all beyond my control, and I don?t understand how you don?t have the anthologies they have had stock for over a month? Have you chased them?

So to sum it up yes it will have digital attached, probably inside the finished package :-)

Then I will buy it for the digital. I trust you to deliver.

I haven't chased them yet. I always feel bad for chasing them. I have given them enough shit over the years but I think I will have to this time.

I really don't like chasing. However they keep letting me down. I always seem to get forgotten. :(
trippnface interested for sure, would definitely grab if it comes with digital, don't wanna have to re buy tracks, but will if i have to lol.

If flac/wav is included I will purchase as well. Can we get confirmation on that?

I've been chasing HU for months over a massive amount of unshipped material. I've given up on them.

Also a shame we can't bundle the two...

OK so I?ve contacted QRATES and integrated the download card system, so yeah there will be digital inside the vinyl package, lossless .. and depending on the space they give me probably some bonus stuff as well if i can find anything cool :-)

So answer is now yes :)

With regards to the HU stuff that?s out of my hands, i have all my stock back now and they just sell some digitals, as we have moved to SRD and direct sale model (with the odd project on QRATES etc)
alstorm On a side note, if we do these projects .. anyone have any suggestions of what they want to see that we don?t do?

More crowdfunded stuff will come but what?

Anything were doing badly? :D

Just interested to see really, might help with the folders and folders of music I?ve got sat here x
GrahamC Will you still be doing the anthologies in-house? Or is that finished with now?

If you could keep that going with the CD releases that would be awesome, to slowly build up the older material rather than what HU was doing, big buck time limited deals for full collections really works for me!
Samination Will you crowdfund better sources to the 24/7 Retro bundles? :P

What is actually wrong with tracks, what ones i probably have multiple recordings may have better ones, some of them might just be my abysmal early mix downs and productions haha

I had sent a list of tracks through the private message system here, if you remember my "Tracks from the Retro Bundle" message sent around 2019/10/11 :)

But in the end it was just a joke comment from me, you did already reply why some of the tracks were not up to snuff

Really, you lot at 24/7 have been pretty spot on at most just getting the stuff out there, and in multiple formats with edits for the causal crowds.

quote:
More crowdfunded stuff will come but what?

Lets see how this two turn out before suggesting further things: We all know CD pressing is very accessible but vinyl still has their MOQs with deposits to meet before they even send off test pressings. These crowdfunded projects had strong starts, but they're still not done, so I wouldnt jump to conclusions just yet...

The only thing I can really gripe about is release scheduling, as it seems more often than not the music keeps showing up on BandCamp some time after it's been available literally everywhere else. I try my best due diligence to avoid the inevitable double buys, but if I have a choice I'd rather support you guys on a more fair 70/30 platform, especially since they give a choice on format, lossless included.

Yeah some fair points, the company seem pretty reputable and they handle it all, and from what I?ve heard pretty well, and the release scheduling is largely down to my home situation, to cut short my partner had the virus at one point and I was looking after her (also pregnant) and 4 kids by myself, that while moving house and numerous other world changing setbacks haha 😂.. thankfully that?s sorted and you?ll start to see band camp updated ahead of beatport etc, and a fresh new merchandise and 24/7 store in the next few weeks

There will be an extra crowdfunded vinyl project for 95-99 authentic sounding stuff running alongside.. but as you said neither have completed yet and might not, but we are using these to gage wether to do them more or stick to alternatives, and worst case they don?t work and we move on, if they do work we have lots of cool projects we can look at :-)

I have contacted them and they said they have no more stock of the CDs and will issue me with a refund. Including postage I hope as the rest of the order was digital.

So it should be all sorted soon.

I backed the new projects and hope they happen.

If the Gammer remix of Surrender doesn't get released this time I will cry. A lot.

Especially as I have heard YouTube DJs playing it now. I guess it's on the 24/7 Hardcore promo list.

Who?s playing it? A few have it it?s been given out here and there but we don?t have a specific promo list

Thanks for backing :) I have stock of both CDs here I?ll get them on store next week, all my label stuff will be going through a large global distributer and on our new direct sale store with massive merchandise range etc so a fresh start for us!

I won't name names as I don't want to get anyone in trouble if they don't have it without your blessing. I assumed you had a promo list.

No problem. I have waited a long time so it's going to be worth the wait. I have not listened to the other tracks as I want to have a surprise when I get it in my hands. I have never seen a picture disc and don't even know what they are. That will be an interesting discovery for me too.

I understand there are a few others who haven't received the Volume 2 anthologies yet. I will encourage then to get in touch with HU.
Coolgamer Yeah, I'm missing some of my cds from orders as well.

I might be asking a stupid question alstorm, but is there a possible chance of someone like myself backing both projects and getting a refund or what have you on the combined shipping cost? It's going to be tough to swing it otherwise.
MusicILove Hardcore Underground have found some more stock of the volume 2 Anthologies and have sent me my copies. So for the first time in years I can say they are all caught up and I am pleased to see them getting back on track.
MusicILove Erm.
So I just listened to the preview on the website of Surrender (Gammer Remix)

I was sad to see the track has been messed with. Hoping this won't be in the final release.

Why why why. Would someone stick a part of the HTID mix in to this. This wasn't part of the Gammer Remix that was originally shared. It also wasn't in the HU7 release.

It sounds like a bad edit. Like someone cut the HTID mix in to it.

Please, Please, Please Put it back to the original version.

After all this waiting. Please don't mess it up now.

nah that's my error. from an old dj edit of it, for HTID USA I believe (that I got too drunk and forgot to actually play haha)

as it stands those projects won't go through anyway, was a tester with upfront stuff but seems the demand for more retro or 90s influenced stuff is much higher. if they don't go through we may press ourselves so expect an email offer as we do want it to go through even if its the only vinyl project we do!

MusicILove Thank **** for that. I was worried there.

If you press them again or release them I will buy in whatever format even wax cylinder or Edison diamond disc, as long as it comes with Digital.

:)

If you employ the following model [rave > settle down > career progression > marry partner > have kids > midlife crisis > rave] then the 1995-2000 renaissance is not far behind!

Yeah it?ll go ahead, I?ll just contact the individual backers after and go and press it myself, this was to test the water but next time I think I?ll just pre sell it haha

Treat the qrates project as a ?register my interest? it?ll help me ease my worries about shelling out to make it happen!

Nice one, thanks for the info mate. I'll back it today at some point then

Funny you mention that, we've started doing an album series called All The Rave at Kniteforce, with each volume dedicated to a different year, with era appropriate tunes.

I had to push mine back to do HU8, so it's not coming until next year sometime, but I drew 1997. So don't worry, that era's gonna get some love soon.

That period was more Jungle and D&B than Hardcore though?

I'm literally just waiting for my refund, they said they'd give it to me a few days ago.
The only thing I'll be short on then is the powerstomp album, they said they'd sent one if they ever find it but not keeping fingers crossed.

1990-95 was the more jungle/d'n'b era, which I wasnt that fund of.

It wasn't more Jungle/D&B at all. Jungle didn't come around until 1993, before that it was called 'Hardcore', as in Breakbeat Hardcore. See timeline below...

1990 - House/Techno
1991 - Hardcore
1992 - Hardcore/Breakbeat Hardcore
1993- Jungle/Hardcore Jungle

1994 - Scene Split into two main genres

- Breakbeat Hardcore/4-Beat Happy Breakbeat
- Jungle

1995 - Happy Hardcore/Jungle/Early D&B
1996-2000 - Happy Hardcore/Drum & Bass

There were also sub genres that were being played in each of these years.
