DJ STYLUS I have heard rumours that HappyHardcore is going commercial, mindyou I have been hearing this for some-time now, is it true?
I think it should, so most ppl can understand that HappyHardcore is wkd, most ppl say its s**te because they haven't heard it, if this was to happen I think plenty of ppl will like HH.
The day when Eyeopener and other C@@L tracks compete for no.1 insted of Bob the F**king builder, (rip off cover song), will be great, Pop music worth listening to.

Just close your eyes and dream with me, you'll hear the sound of music.
Matty K Hardcore will NEVER go commercial. There wasn't enough people into it back in 95/6 to make it go commercial, and this was in it's peak, let alone in 2001. You wouldn't want it to go commercial anyway. It would completely ruin the scene. Keep it underground - that's the way it should be (always will be).

The Rhythm Station will always be my home

MC RizlaDizla In a way it would be good. The charts are are shite here. And it would make it a lot easier to get hold of, but then you would get a load of the people who go with what ever is popular. Then you would start seeing loads of w@nkers at raves.

Like the Traitors of DRUm N Bass/Jungle - ROni Size and Reprazent. , i don't want happycore to be commercialized. Drum N Bass shou'dln't have been commercialised

I'm gone sending you outer space...to find another race...
==CPX is the most horniest radio station in the WHOLE of Sydney...I LOVE IT!!!==
aznwasian If HHC ever went commercial we would get every person who could buy a drum machine would just start makin beats just to hit the top of the chart... not cool... it would ruin the scene... not cool...

virus hardcore's just building up enough steam to sustain itself from its low a few years back.. theres only a release or two every week if we're lucky.. this doesnt sound very "commercial" to me....

adam

Elation HHC will never go commercial...i mean, come on...the majority of people dont even respect it, how the hell is it gonna go commercial???

if it did, we would see a huge wave of the s**ttiest happy you would ever come to hear. now we dont want that do we...i sure as hell dont.

the charts are for suckers that get pulled into a money-makin-lets-scam-the-general-listening-audience...just cause we can. well F**K them.

keep it HARDCORE, keep it REAL, and always...keep it UNDERGROUND!!!

MC RizlaDizla When I posted my message, I was not saying that I wanted it to go commercial, merely that there would be some advantages. I suppose its a bit like "should cannabis be legalised".

Imagine the proppa garage heads that have been there since it started. What must they have thought when little kids on the street start singing "sweet like chocolate boy, sweet like chocolate".

I hope that never happens to hardcore.

Keep it RAW !!

DJ STYLUS I think if happy hardcore went commercial, sure there will be alot of Shat tunes comming out, but there will also be plenty of new, fresh, quality tunez aswell. Also HappyHardcore will gain more StreetCred. More ppl will know about it so you can talk to ppl without them thinking u r some kind of nut. Also you will find your fav tunez easy caus everyone will know wot u r chatting about. You are all thinking about the Negative things, but there are plenty of good reasons.
HappyHardcore can't remain at the bottom all it's narrow life.

HappyHardcore SHOULD go commercial, but I know that it probly will not.

Just close your eyes and dream with me, you'll hear the sound of music.

Oh yeah everyone keeps talking about happy-hardcore being Underground like it's great and something to be plzd about. I love happyhardcore (obviously), but the Underground is basicly reject music, that really most ppl hate. It had to be said.

Commercialise.

Elation Northants_DnB...i completely disagree with you that the UNDERGROUND is REJECTED music.

underground is where the whole scene came from...its just another word for REAL MUSIC where people are doing their own thing and producing some of the PHATTEST s**t to make you move your AZZ!!!

member when drum n bass was underground...then by 97, 98 it was popping its head out, and now look at all the KIFE!!! ive been turned off by jungle in the last few years and i feel it has ALOT to do with the fact its become commercial.

i do agree that if HHC became commercial, it would push the scene into a whole new perspective. new records, producers, parties, all that, but i still feel it would damage the music more than it would help it.

and STREET CREDIT comes from the STREETS/UNDERGROUND. not from some record company that has a million dollars for advertising to brainwash the general listening audience.

HHC hasnt been at the bottom all its NARROW life...its life was QUITE PHATT back in 95 to 99, it was in toronto anyways.

ive just noticed too many good producers/bands go the s**t rode after they make it big or become well known. the companies flash some COIN their way and then all of a sudden "i-make-music-for-a-label-not-for-my-fans" attitude shows up.

SORRY, BUT UNDERGROUND IS REAL, NOT REJECTED MUSIC!!!

(:(:happyhardcoresmiles:):)
ourhappyhardcore personally, i wouldnt want it to go commercial,l because then a bunch of people would just jump on the band wagon and start listing to it but not really appreciating the music like people do in the underground, yes sum people say that happycore is shiet but everyone has there right to there own opinion so dont get mad, so basically whut im saying is happyhardcore should stay under ground" qoute:" hardcore is the sound, thats why were underground" , mc storm isnt saying" take a look around all the people jumping up and down, hardcore is the sound, thats why were underground but want to co commercial!" NO he is not saying that, thank you

class is dismissed

maximum!

Dave-Rayvon I agree to keeping HHC underground as it is now. If it did enter the charts the people who were initially saying it was crap would be saying it was cool, just because it's in the charts and as RizlaDizla said you will be seeing wank3rs at raves

Dave!
xxhappyxx i reckon it'll b aaaages b4 it goes commercial newayz, because so many people havnt even heard of it, and its so different to the rest of the music which is commercial at the moment, and even if it got well known..duznt mean every1s gonna like it

'come fly my child 2 a special place, with angels in the sky, the time has come 2 fly!'
kanddy_kid

HHC should never go commercial. then i'll be seeing ppl who go for POP wearing our shii and listening to Hixxy cuz it iz da new thing. it will ruin HHC by suking it dry of it's life, essense, value, respect, and quality!!!
keep it underground!!!!! SO WHAT if alot of ravers don't like HHC or don't know it. keep it special , keep it ourz, keep it happyhardcore FOREVA!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

da kAnDy KiD ;)
DJ Mouse i said this before in another forum on another site, about what would happen if hhc went commercial.
Let's just say, before uk garage became commercial,i used to like it,before all these garage groups converted their style of garage so it would sell in the mainstream,it's just completly 101% ruined the sound of uk garage, listen to a recent garage tune then an old one, you'd be able to tell the difference straight away. and now look what happened - any of you heard "liberty - thinking it over" ??? that is a manufactured uk garage band,(!!!!!)can any of you imagine having manufactured hhc groups bringing out a commercialised happy hardcore tune that sounds nothing like the original hhc as we know it??? i'm cringing at the thought of it

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
Magic Put it this way in 1996 thats the peak of UK HHC and that was dangerouly close to being chart releases there was talk of Toy Town getting a full release early bonkers releases were getting high chart positions and even off yer nut was getting advertised on TV thank god it went undergound for a while its divided the true ravers from the people who liked it cause it was in a word fashionable to do so then. Look at Hard house, garage and trance thats very comercial stuff that youll even get little kids going around singing. Coudl you imagine the amout of piss heads that you get when u go out round town coming to big raves after the pubs had turfed them out they would cause havok im not saying beers bad but beer boys are there main goals for the night are

Cause fights and to try and flirt with every bird that they can

It would only be a day into comercialism that many true ravers would think this is the worsest day in HHC history

All we need is a few more up and coming producers to make some good tunes and i know theres a few out there that deserve record contracts but nobody wants to inject money in HHC when they can put it into some wank garage act!

Either way we can have it one way or another and for me undergound is where we should stay

PEACE! :)

it's definitely possible for hhc to go commercial, whether we'd all want it or not is another story though

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
xxhappyxx i dont want it 2 go commercial :( cos its like our hhc!, n if other ppl start liking it, then every1 who wasnt in2 it b4 will start releasing loadsa tracks, n bein all like yeah..i dj hardcore.. and it will become crappy!! but its gonna b aaages b4 its commercial i reckon, cos hardly ne1s even heard of it

'come fly my child 2 a special place, with angels in the sky, the time has come 2 fly!'
DJ STYLUS I think if Happy-Hardcore went commercial we could see some classic tunez, I mean when Garage went comercial everybody woz sayin' there was gonna be no good trax, eva, now there are more brilliant garage trax eva, like 'Coming Home', the same could happen to happyhardcore MORE brilliant CLASSICS, LESS corney CRAP!

STOP LOOKIN' AT IT WITH A NEGATIVE ATTITUDE!!!

Can't you see I love it, baby when it hurts you so.
Hardcore i don't think that it could ever go commerical...

I like the beats that go BOOM!
DJ STYLUS HappyHardcore CAN and WILL go commercial SOON. You heard it from me soon.

Commercial - 2005

Can't you see I love it, baby when it hurts you so.
DJ Mouse i'll bear that in mind then,we'll see if it does commercialise by 2005

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
Midway_raver NO NO NO NO NO, commercialism is for britney spears n sync etc, fuk that i wana be a raver, i liek being a lil diffrent form teh crowd i am proud when peopel say what music u liek n i say HAPPY HARDCORE, id liek to think im doing sumfin i love with people who love the music n not people who get into it coz its in fashion ( liek punk rock now) if we r ravers were ravers coz we love the scene!!!! Ok commercialism wud bring mur raves mur trax etc but i say if it aint broke dunt fix it!! Then agen on the other hand id hate to see happy hardcore die unapreciated n die prematurely so id say it mite just be a gud thing on a small scale, i liek teh idea that ministry of sound bort out bak to teh old skool cd , as it kinda shows recognision to teh scene but i wudnly liek to see loads flooding the shelves:) well that my £'s worth BYEEEEE
