silver I am now licensed to cut vinyl (yeah you need to go through a training course) and I have access to this machine, this machine is for real, it makes true vinyl NOT dubplates, they never wear out they are the same as vinyl but are for 1 off's... Anyone interested in getting anything done email me [email protected] . It costs about axp. $100 for the first vinyl and $55 per vinyl after that depending on the quality of the source.

aznwasian How much does a machine like that cost?

-I can't stop raving...
silver I don't own one but about $10,000 and about $5000 every 20 hours for a new diamond cutter head :)
FingazMc sorry to sound stupid but wots the differance between dub plates and proper viynl?thanx

silver dubplates wear out (you cant use them anymore) after about 20 plays... these vinyl last forever as normal vinyl does :)
DJ Mouse so how much are the blank vinyl's then???

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
FingazMc thanx for explaining

http://mcstyleeuk.homestead.com/homepage.html
silver The price I listed there actualyl included two blank vinyls (one for getting the record to sound perfect) and the other is the master.

It is really weird to see a double sided blank vinyl :)
DJ Mouse so you pay that much for blank vinyl?? yikes well someone's making a big profit there, considering a single on vinyl only costs £4 here

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
silver Mouse: Your wrong the cost of pressing one vinyl the normal way would cost about 500 dollars just for 1, and about 1000 dollars for 100. This method allows you to get a few cheap...

To get a record at 4 pounds you have to press over 1000.
DJ Mouse so the more you do,the cheaper it is,right??

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
silver Mouse: Yes and no, Vinyl recording becomes more expensive than pressing at about 50 units.
DJ Mouse i see what you mean silver,it's a lotta loot though isn't it?

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
silver Well not really, I have recorded about 4 tracks on it and it's great to use them insteed of CD's.
DJ Mouse i bet! some of the tracks i got on cd that i'd want on vinyl as well, when i get some cash i'll get a vinyl cut then

djm
it's like a dream,no end and no beginning...
MC RizlaDizla Could you make your own choon up and get it stuck on vinyl. Or record a load of sounds you want for scratching.

"Oh my goodness, Oh my Gosh. Here we go with a badboy rush".
silver Record whatever you want, full songs of your own stuff or samples for stratching... whatever.
Oli G Mr silver... exactly how much can you fit on these vinyls
ie.. how much per side.. @ say 33 (can fit more on ?)
like the maximum.. before u hit the label

as id like to get one with 4 tunes pressed (2 either side)

DJ Mouse OliGhalebi - 14 minutes each side @ 33rpm

i got another 2 questions for silver

1.my mate is wanting his latest tune cut onto vinyl,i told him how much it would cost, but does the price you say include shipping? and if not,how much would it cost to ship it here to the uk?

2.it's not a hhc tune, would you still cut it anyway??

DJ Mouse In Da House!!!
silver Shipping is extra... at the moment I can't offer a fast turnaround time I am on tour at the moment with another group in Japan and finding time is real hard.
