yes the sanc is closing, i think its good in a way, youll see more people going to smaller raves, and see some of the bigger raves at different + better venues than the sanc

i can see your point neo, i think it'd be good if they held the larger events at different places instead of finding a "new sanctuary" and just moving it there. it would give more people access to large raves that might not be able to travel so easily all the time. plus, sad as i'll be to see it go the sanc' got it's share of downfalls!

this sanctuary closing rumor keeps coming up all the time, the amount of times its been on tv or in mags saying the end is silly.
I think you are all being a bit rough on the arena though (I know its old now but still).. if it wasn't for the sanctuary just think that there could be a chance that the scene would have suffered more i.e. no decent place to hold events - no events = no ravers = no music ...
and bear in mind there is a good reason why events keep taking place at sanc/rollers-fasttrack i.e. no. of people who attend, location the fact that its purpose built and acutally holds a license to host such events.. etc etc
well thats just my humble opinion...
I say as long as the events keep coming and the more popular this scene becomes the more events will evolve

Its supposed to be closing in the summer, have also heard from a reliable source, that it will be closing, good ridance to the sanc :D

goodbye duff venue, crappy piece of history that no one appreciates, event centre for large uk raves for years on end, home of the massive hardcore and happy events giving pleasure to hundreds and thousands of ravers, the youth of today hate you and us older ravers are all in the same mind now that your duff, now we have no where to go we all feel that not only should we abandon our roots by slating it we should hate the scene too... lol - dramatic enough 4 ya

calm down, nobody's been slating it that badly! just said it's a bit dirty, that's all. I'll be sad to see it go but I think it'll all be part of the scene's progression, it might help force more local scenes to pop up instead of people relying on the monthly (or so) big rave to go to. it's played a big part in hardcore and a lot of people will miss it, I think it'd be wicked to have a massive "closing down sale rave"  to see it on it's way!

the only thing i dont like bout the sanct is the toilets. they are fookin mingin!! other than that its a wicked place to rave, u dont get an atmosphere like it anywhere else

yeah the toilets are ruff
but then the other problem is if your sitting on the toilet taking a ~~~~ the bouncers jump over the toilet doors and peer on you to see what your doing!!!!
I thought that would be an illegal invasion of privacy! although it does stop stupid people doing drugs and blocking cubicals etc

I have to drive for like 5 hours to get there but have always had a blinding time (even with the toilets of hell)
People need to remember the Sanc ( the venue ) is only 1 part of the night and not what makes it a good or bad evening.
People like myself love the place for more than the building alone, its the shell that holds the rave together and I shall miss it.
The scene is strong at the moment so I have faith that wherever we rave in the future we will still have the best of times.

they cant close the sanctuary its hardcores roots where it is all based all the
companys go there bar united dance who have always been at bagleys
ie campus ive heard that uproar have there last 100% hardcore event there
in june but not totally closing.

The sanc is shit. Hard to get to, terrible security, terrible toilets, bad sound system far too often, cloak room/queuing ****ups all the time. Good riddance.
All it had going for it was its size! Slammin will find somewhere new, so will all the rest. Hopefully we wont have to suffer violent security this time

personaly i'm going to miss the sanc, ppl going on about travel should try the trains i'v neva had a probas long as you sort it out befor and not while your on the come down, as for the toilet issue i'v found the perfect sol, use the girls! it spotless and i'v neva been stopped and whats all this talk of violent security? the only time i'v seen them be violent was wehen a towny tried to have one and personaly i found that more amussing then offencive, all the other raves i'v been to that haven't been at the sanc/ fasttrack have in all honesty been a bag of w*nk so i will be crying myself to sleep when it dose close, but as was said earlier the venue is only one part of the night so i am eger to see the new venue for slammin and other big events.
The sceen is bigger then just the sanc and the closing is just a bump in the road we will rave on!!!!

Sanctuary is the phatest apart from the security stealing ur draw in the chill out- ****s. They had to get hardcore security tho once the garage scene exploded.
Wish they wld tell us where they're moving tho so i could decide where to go to uni!
