Oh go on then! :D
CDJay, still aint received that HU3 (or 4, I forgot, the 3 quid one). Did we reach some kind of conclusion on that because I'd be happy if you just put it in with this order when I do it?
CDJay
Gah! I keep forgetting about it, am in midst of HHU horror (in addition to the usual).
I will post it out today!

And Hardcore Underground takes my money once again. Some of my absolute favorite UK Hardcore Tracks were on Balancing Act. The fact that they are being remastered makes my ears happy.
Samination
is this like the other albums, more breakbeat oriented?
CDJay
They haven't been, proportionately. On this the are 4 breakbeat tracks, one of which is 4 beat. Out of 14.
There are clips on the store page, although we have very intentionally left off the first and last track so people don't completely ruin the first time listen

Loving this tracklist! Although some of these tracks have been out there for sometime, I'm glad that I can FINALLY own these tracks!
kazukism92
Just shut up and take my money I don't gonna miss this album guys :3.
piumaki
And my pre order is placed :P
whittle1
Listen, that track-list for Filth And Dumb Hatred is dope, but is there any way we can order that album by itself?
I'm really not interested in buying a remastered album I already own.

On release day, the pre-order bundle will stop and be replaced by discrete products at 9.99 for "Filth & Dumb Hatred" and 5 for "Balancing Act" Reissue

Mansy
Thats good to no :) i dont need the balancing act album either ;)
CDJay
... But it's remastered, on a proper cd, in decent packaging, for 3 quid. I can't fathom wanting to own a massively inferior version of something when a notably better example exists.
Admittedly this is why I have a lot of imported dvds in my loft.

djDMS
I don't NEED it, still bought it though.
At that price, the improved quality (AND the extra track) made it an easy purchase.
GrahamC
I didn't need to think twice, both scooped up at a bargain price!
Like a silly sod I forgot to tag on the second album. Next order though, HHUG & the other upcoming goodies, I can bolt it onto that :)

It's really rather good.

Who is that bird that does the voice for all these videos?
She's got the 'Fracus & Darwin' down so well.
CDJay
Probably because she's done a fair few things involving their names, I guess.
I'm not going to say who she is as others will no doubt start using her

Utterly ridiculous tune.

I was hooked long before the piano and vocal kicked in....great great track

Great album! Need to give Bombs Away a blast tomorrow!
Can't wait for the artwork to be added to the HU gallery, CDJay!
arpz
Yeah same, Bombs away is going in the car for the commute tomorrow.
Whilst people are clamouring for you to do things CDJay, how about that Brisk track? Finish that line... ? :)
CDJay
Ah, crap.
*moves up list*
Seriously, our lives atm are F**ing insane. We're launching these albums, finalising HHU *and* doing Live @ Rehab as an event and album.
There is surprisingly little crossover between the three.
Good for scene. Bad for HU staff sanity,

HHU mentioned separately from finalization of albums? Wonder what you guys could be doing...

Yeah, that was dreadful... should've taken FaDH. I've never been a fan of the whole boyband type vocal thing so I have to say it really is not my cup of tea. I'm not sad to have bought it because of *support the labels* but I doubt it'll come out of the case again

I heard the samples of that, and it is very samey. Definitely not a fan of that, and may be the first HU album project that I would never buy. I'm definitely all for supporting HU as a label, but that one is a bit too much of a miss for me.
Also to add, I've never even heard of this guy ever until I heard about this project. I'm thinking, who the fuck is this guy??? And it's a bit of an embarrassment to release something like that alongside a brilliant artist album series that just keeps getting better and offers such an amazing variety.

Yeah, I'm still not actually sure who he is, I'm assuming he's the vocalist as well as the producer. It's not marked up HUDSCD for the cat# so I don't suppose you can really say it's released 'alongside'
CDJay
Different strokes, and all that.
I'm entirely aware the sort of people who follow HU religiously might not take to "Bombs Away", in the same way that I'm aware that a fair few casual ravers wouldn't take to "Filth And Dumb Hatred".
Rescue is a Scottish hardcore producer, young, motivated, under the GTYM banner. He writes and sings vocals, plays instruments, and is generally rather talented.
Whilst it isn't an HU project, directly, meaning we've had no creative input or involvement, I'm very keen to support fresh talent in doing something original. As a label, we're having to move from doing just our "core" projects to engaging and supporting the wider scene. This means there will be stuff all across the spectrum.
The whole "I haven't even heard of" thing was being levelled at F&D when "Balancing Act" came out. Finding new artists is a good thing. Watching them, and supporting, their development is a good thing. There will be a sizeable section of our scene that really enjoy "Bombs Away", and having something "real" to wave around and be excited by which keeps them around. I'll drink to that

I think it's a good thing, What does GYTM stand for? I didn't make a new thread because I didn't really want to make a big deal out of it, I bought something which I was fairly sure I wouldn't like so it's not really fair for me to say a great deal as per usual the whole package is superb, though, and its *physical stuff* like you say :D

I'm actually quite a fan of Rescue's stuff and he is indeed a talented producer. I would have happily bought the album if there was a bit less of the male vocal stuff cos some of those tunes are fantastic.
I went and told my momma i was thinking of buying it, but she threatened to disown me! :-P
CDJay
Obviously I have a vested interest but... even if you only like a few of the tracks it's still good value. It also supports an up and coming producer who has put together a "proper" album, and if it does well will encourage both him and others to do more. Which is good; it's the gap between effort and reward (critical, peripheral, financial) which has seen ever so many promising people disappear from the scene.
The best thing about "the store", at this point, is it's fixing the biggest issues I think the scene has faced in recent memory. Encouraging people to work together, to take pride in their works, showcase material to the wider scene and world. It's still early days, but I genuinely think 2014 can and will be a great year. I couldn't be happier with the projects we've put out so far, and I'm really excited by the next few. Better yet, it feels like the sky is the limit now. Who knows what we could pull off collectively
By the time that Dreamscape in MK rolls around we'll have a catalog ready with T/L's and album showcases/interviews. If we can re-engage some ex raver types even if it's just on the content consumption level then kersplat/kerboom etc.
Back on topic; Isn't F&DH good? I'm actually going to send some to the press with only mild reservations that they will sneer at it based on tempo. As a body of work, BA + PONR + F&DH all stand up but there's still progression. Only 18-24 months 'til the next one! (Maybe)

Oh it's not just good, it's flipping marvellous!
Expect a review when I've had a bit more time to absorb the greatness.
What really bugs me, is that the likes of F&D, CLSM etc do the 'Mainstream' Drum n Bass style tunes as well as (if not better) than what's around at the minute. I'd love to see what could happen with a bit of support and a lot of luck!
CDJay
There's movement on the HU Breaks side too; we haven't been able to focus on it as much as we'd like so Chris Ross, with help from the ever heroic CLSM, will be heading that up going forward.
CDJay
Mortis
Listened to the first 10 tracks, very impressive. One or two I don't care for, like Stabalize, but the rest is really good. I love the old, happy vibes type feel to most tracks. Also, good to hear Poison Rain singing again, she's got an amazing voice.
CDJay
There's a poison rain bit on Live @ Rehab, too

Good selection of tracks will enjoy this.

End on a Hard Note is a bit good.

Received the pre-order bundle, both albums for a great price, already had balancing act from iTunes (don't judge me!), but was a great deal.
The new album Filth and Dumb Hatred is great, what I'd like to call proper hardcore/dance, not worried about playing it loudly out my car window even now I am 35, nice to listen to some serious well thought out hardcore that isn't cringingly cheesy...
Hardcore underground is a great label and hope you continue, also very interested in anything you would be doing with CLSM (as mentioned earlier in the thread)..
Craigavon raver
Really need to order this, the only reason I didn't pre-order it was because I wasn't sure I wanted another copy of balancing act, I already have 2! but maybe I could be tempted to get another haha
And on the point of rescues album, I mighted bother with that one either, never heard of him before or listened to any of his tracks, and I don't really get a chance to listen to music much these days, so probably not worth it, even the womans saying to me now "why you buying these cds and you never listen" haha
robertybob
Really liking this! Much better than their last album :) That is all.
rafferty
Those two never disappoint.
Is funny how Hardcore Underground seems such a big part of the scene now days, that you really could not imagine any other quality Hardcore CD releases being out if it wasn't for them.
AceofSpades_Lorenzo
Waiting until July to order this & all the other albums I've missed that are available on the HU website; I don't feel like paying $12 shipping 3 times when I could just wait & pay it once ;)
