Really digging transcend - domination at the moment jay. The breakdown into fast acid hoover section is the most impressive thing i've ever heard in production for some time. Amazing track :)
_Jay_
Ahh mate, Domination is sick. I bought it a few weeks ago myself, and along with Ice Cream by Douglas, and Think Again by A.B & SynthWulf - I've had it on repeat constantly.
Some of the Freeform around at the moment is just sensational. And having been to a few events with lots of Freeform lately - it's really stepped up my interest in it. So good.
Where abouts in the UK are you mate? Do you get out to raves much?
Phobz
Yeah mate as soon as I heard that track I stuck it in my basket and had a big smiley face - freeform seems like the most work goes into the music for me. Always sounds so technical. Amazing stuff.
I'm in Warrington it's smack bang in the middle of Manchester / Liverpool. I've only been to about 5 or 6 raves roughly. Furthest i've travelled is to birmingham for NEC arena and the Carling Academy there. I only seem to get out on NYE's - my friends around here are not really into raving :(

It does all sound so good and polished, doesn't it? Sounds incredible on big systems at raves.

Only a couple of my mate-mates are into raving, and even they rarely come with me. I just meet up with the guys on here, or other raving mates I've met before - or just go on my own. :-) If you ever fancied coming down to one of these amazing London events that are flying about at the moment - you'd be more than welcome to join us for beers and ravings :-) You should.
Phobz
It's crazy when I listen to some of the early day freeform to what's being produced now. Music boundaries keep getting pushed beyond anything I ever thought would happen.
That does sound cool to do mate - I won't be far of getting my driving license so it would make things so much easier getting there (and probably cheaper). Currently out of action (jobless) but may have a job on the horizon soon so hopefully all goes well and I can get down to some London events and have a good time with everyone :)
I always see jacek coming to london on facebook. Now that is a hardcore raver travelling all that way!

If you travel to Liverpool Chris Big Worm puts on a night in Birkenhead called Horizon. It's mostly gabber but you get UKH too. He gets some really big names to play too. In Manchester you have TLI which is also a good night.
_Jay_
I'm the same as you then mate, not a million miles away from being able to drive as well :-)
I was just thinking earlier - if you can spare just a few quid, me and a load of guys from the forum and some of my mates are going to be going to Stomp in Leeds on April 12th, Less than a tenner to get in, and not a million miles away from you :-)
Yeah, always had a soft spot for that one. Got to be pushing five or six years old now, that one.
Mate, Serenade is unreal. Had the pleasure of hearing that at a rave before - was amazing. That's my upload actually :-) Stuck it up a few weeks ago when I realised it wasn't on YouTube at all!
lol @ that bootleg. It's pretty bloody addictive!
Phobz
Haha cool I didn't even notice hehe - I bought 3 of his tracks in one pop, awesome stuff :D
It is quite addictive, I especially like the final break when it comes in he does a little twist on the riff.
I think It's Al Storm and Kutski. They had funny names on the HU4 mix too. Slutski and Al Porn I think
Phobz
It's not, it's someone completely different. Check his pics.

Didn't even know this tune existed till a min ago thanks to Slipmatt's FB page.
I have it on Masters @ Work 2. Wasn't aware of it existing anywhere else.
Slipmatt believes the copy he has just found may be the only copy in the world.

Been looking at the tracklist for the Hardwired albums today. I've missed out on LOADS of tunage I could have had earlier. Christ knows why I never bought any of them! I will buy them in the near future though.

Gorgeous track!
Here's mine, uploaded earlier by yours truly (Matt pointed out that it wasn't on YouTube - which is criminal!). A magnificent piece from The Legend.
Hardcore Authority - Hollow Soul:
Phobz
What a track Jay! Damn some good tunes especially around that time! Especially love Ghosts - what a tune! Out of all the hardcore tunes I just can't seem to get enough of JHAL -Without you... just because I grew up as a kid waiting for hardcore hour on stu allan key 103 sets when I was younger. That song captured me as soon as I heard it fell in love with hardcore. Along with Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo - Wonderful days (Trance Remix) and my fav song ever Fade - Freedom (Frantic remix). If it wasn't for Stu Allan maybe I would of been into POP!!! NOOOO!!! HAHA. Thankfully not. I knew from about the age of 8 I was a weird one. I wouldn't like any music - then I heard Wanna be an hippy on tv music channel. I knew that was the sounds needed for me :D Then not long after I heard the best album ever on a tv ad. Straight town and got my hands on Moondance the album. WOW!!! So much magical happy hardcore on the force & styles disc. Truly one of the best cd's ever released!
How did you get into hardcore Jay - that was basically it for me, I kind of had an addiction for fast music but at the time I didn't know what it actually was. So there search was horrible. I listened to stuff like barbie girl thinking it was the bees kness cause it was quick. HAHA god i'm sad!!!

Ahh mate, it's an unreal tune - and I basically only really found out about it since The Legend uploaded some more back catalogue stuff recently. It's so fcuking good. Like, ludicrously good.
But yeah, Hardcore initiations. At 8 you knew - well, at least knew you didn't like normal stuff. That's mad - I don't ever recall anything as clear cut as that, not that early, anyway. My musical background is pretty mixed (in terms of embarrassment levels lol). My parents didn't really pass on any of their preferences to me, really. We used to go to Cornwall every year, and they used to have Wet Wet Wet, Simply Red and Gloria Estefan on repeat (year after year, literally). You'd think that'd be enough to make me hate them (the music, not my parents lol) but I actually really like all three of those artists/groups to this day.
In terms of my own personal development. God I started out listening to some real shit. I'll see your Barbie Girl and raise you a Robbie Williams. Used to love his stuff. Still actually do (completely indefensible, I know). His new stuff is dog shit, but I like the old stuff. I used to listen to a lot of Michael Jackson. We're talking like early secondary school years - like 1999/2000. Then, I started getting into a mixture of pop-punk/ska (New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, Get Up Kids, Less Than Jake, Blink etc. etc.), and I also started listening to some Trance. Just loads of shit thefted from Lime-wire. My mum's best mate's son is five years older than me, and he used to take me and my mate's to gigs in mid-week in London - like Blink and New Found etc. I think he found out I had Dancin' In The Rain on a shit CD I'd made myself (not having any idea what the fcuk it was, or what Happy Hardcore was). So he leant me his copy of Vibes' mix on Bonkers 6. And that was IT. Fcuk me. That's where my love affair with Night Driving started, and, more importantly, Hardcore in general.
I think that was 2003, very roughly. Then he leant me his entire Bonkers collection over the next few years and I started to realise that this was it. Nothing compared. At all. Used to go round to his and get pissed up and listen to him mix. I used to make him play Still The One and Every Time I Close My Eyes relentlessly. It was those big sexy fcuking vocal numbers that really pulled me in. Ahh it was a magical, magical time.
My only regret is not getting involved in the community element earlier. I went to raves with him and basically only him. Chatted to people at raves, but never met regulars or made raving mates. And I certainly didn't look online! It wasn't until 2008 I joined on here - and then fell in love with Deano (DMS) whilst I was out in Vietnam (using this site a lot) during 2010. Then we met up for a rave when I got back, and thus began a series of awesome raves and friend-making experiences with guys from on here and other rave-regulars over the last 18 months. Truly been such good fun to become friends with all these different people. And that's why I wish I'd done that MUCH earlier.
Blimey, you only wanted to know how I got into it. Given you my fcuking life story there!!

Been listening to this clip over the last couple of day's after hearing Cruze and Darts play it.
This just came out yesterday. I had no expectation that it would be good based on the title and the first few seconds....then the kick came in and i was like "godDAMN Joey" (in a good way).

Yeah, I saw that too man. Probably wouldn't buy it, but that'd be a good one to hear at 5am on the dancefloor when you need a slap in the mushki! "MUST STOMP MORE".

I spend an hour browsing through when I purchased my 37 tracks, you should get the NUNRG100 release, it's a must have!
Phobz
Cool Jay it's great hardcore only music that makes have a tingle inside lol. I never really had a thing for pop music when I was younger but I had heard all that stuff. Overheard Celine Dion and Michael Jackson because my mum was addicted and we had no choice in the matter :)
Ohhh James Venus - Night Driving! What a track, I had a James Venus tune on Absolute Hardcore 3 - wicked cd.
Yeah man I get that community thing. I used to run a site with jacek and scott bounce ages ago but life changed so much and didn't have access to internet no more and money bleh. I couldn't run it longer but I really regret it now because it was pretty wicked and the amount of work we all put into it. Kind of pisses me off now :(((
I never really knew what hardcore was until the internet was getting affordable lol. I just managed to listen to it through stu allen on key 103 lol.
I've heard about your love for DMS actually lol - seen some emoticons made haha made me chuckle ^^

I remember it being released when I was out in Asia. I vaguely had it in my mind that I bought the download version of it. I bought My Rave which was out a similar time. Maybe I didn't buy 100 after all. No way to check my order history now, since HardBeats Store is defunct. Maybe I've got an e-mail receipt!
But yeah, I may well buy that again then :-)

It was a site called hhcaddictz we used to put all our own mixes and productions up and some other bits :)

Every time I hear this tune it takes me back to two occasions on the dancefloor. One at I Love Hard Beats and one at Hardcore Underground. The track is beautiful in its own right, but on the dancefloor it's got monstrous quantities of energy, as well as that emotionally-charged breakdown and build. Utterly fcuking perfect - and two of the most special moments of my raving life, so far. Will be hard to beat.

It's the more comfortable way because you need one mausclick less or / and don't need another tab. If forum could handle drag&drop you would need only one mouseclick. Not pointing out that (all) users are lazy but they tend to be, which cause trouble in such threads, til silver fix this issue with advanced quick reply or auto-convert embedded vids into links in overview.

Ofc. you dont need steps 9,10,11 but people tend to not click on links without description!

I always forget just how much I like this track. Which is nice in a way, because I'm always really happy whenever I see it in a folder on my laptop and think "Oooooohhhh yeah, actually - I do fancy a quick spin with Gordon & Gams!!!"
