Given that AB recently gifted us to a Sharkey track remixed for us, I figure I'd actually give the forum some CPR and post a thread.
Mine's "Bang Like a Mother".
Great rhythm, lots of various changes and twists and a track that perfectly embodies the fun Freeform/Hardcore blend that's been lost in time.

Dual Illumination is awesome.
Never Say Die is my fav track by Sharkey though.
Add the Kevin Energy Remix to it, the one on Bonkers 18 then I would agree totally!
The thing is Sharkey was to Freeform what Hixxy was to mainstream, Hixxy also never released some tunes or released them years late.
Did he ever release his remix of DJ's Unite vol 1 that is on Bonkers 7? You know the remake of that Old Skool classic?
Well there is a dub plate release uploaded to Youtube:

Wow, I hadn't bothered listening to the orignal. This version is spot on :o

Great tune! very happy hardcore sounding as well
That was the so called 'Bouncy Freeform' style which was sadly very small compared the other styles of the time. It was mostly about energy and the feel good facto and a few Old Skool influences as you mentioned, Happy Hardcore sounding. Usually but not always thee was the harder bouncy kicks as well as sometimes vocals. It was a fun style and was much more enjoyable that the stuff that the mainstream guys where putting out at the time
