Hey man, I tried to help you out but just got abuse back, and you ignored my PM. Ah well. Oh, and to answer your points:

1) No, nobody "got their internet mates" to gang up on you. Everybody responded with their own opinions on what you said, and not all of them were ripping your opinions up. Plus when you were flamed it has been made completely clear since as to why people were flaming you.

2) People do agree with some of what you say. I think its pretty safe to say though that theres not many who agree with the WAY you say it. Everything you have said has had a certain "I'm right, the rest of you miserable low-lifes are all wrong" attitude to it, apart from recently. Your greek trance thread was good until you let it turn into a slanging match, which I tried to rescue and you just threw that in my face.

3) As for your music, I take it you meant your own production? Yes there was alot of slating. I mean, as I said in my PM to you, early impressions will stick anyway, so you were bound to get stick even if nobody knew who you were. However, you came along bigging up your music, telling everybody how great it was, but, well..... the thread speaks for itself. However, once again, not everybody just slagged it off. Yes, it was bad. Simon Cowel would have had a field day, BUT alot of people took the time out to give you pointers to help you improve it. They didn't just say "its shit" and leave it at that, we told you what was wrong with it, and ways to improve it for future tracks. If you can't take criticism then seriously mate, hang up your keyboard now! The music industry is not the place for you as you'll only spend all of your time in the toilets crying. I've seen some of the most fantastic tracks get criticised, and not constructive criticism either. And no I'm not talking about "teh internet kidz" either, I'm talking about professional musicians being criticised by other professionals.

Anyway, good luck with whatever.

He's a tosser - simple as!

I haven't added much to any topic lately, but this is as good a place to start as any! and i'll write this as if he's already gone (so apologies for not addressing you personally 95).

EVERYBODY has views that other people don't agree with, and it's the way that we express these views that determine how others react. Anyone should be allowed to have whatever views they like without fear of upsetting people - but if you set out to belittle and offend people you better expect it back bigtime!

There were some valid points somewhere in all the shite he posted, but as has been pointed out ad infinitum - it's the way they were made that managed to piss just about everybody off!

I'm not going to go down the "i was there in 1995, etc etc..." route because it's not that important - and it's already been discussed. BUT, i do have a reasonable knowledge of the music and the 'scene' from that time. Look at music from any period and there has always been a mixture of amazing, great, good, average, poor and utter bollocks - no exceptions.

We can all use stereotypes to have a cheap dig at others (insert Chav, softcore, kiddy music, you're all sheep, blah blah blah, reference here), but what he and people like him don't realise is that we're all capable of deciding for ourselves what we do and don't want to listen to. if i want to buy my cheesy, watered down Hardcore CD's from Asda i will - i don't give a shit what anybody thinks. I reckon the thousands of pounds i've spent on raving/buying records & obscure CD's from grotty backstreet shops gives me the right to do whatever i like. And there are many, many others like me.

Just because i don't cream my pants every time some new underground breaks track gets released doesn't make me any less interested in 'proper' music. There are problems with the 'scene' (sorry, no other word i can think of) at the minute, and they're everybody's fault - not just the producers/ravers/record buyers. It's something we'll always have to deal with, a roller coaster of good and bad times!

In the end, it's people with the kind of views that 95 was my IQ has that are the most dangerous - the blinkered "i'll only listen to what's cool this week" types.

If we were all a bit more open minded, we might find things aren't as bad as the doom merchants say!

God knows where all that came from, i'm off back into hibernation now.

See you all next year.
