Anyone know what has been happening to the label info for many hardcore labels on discogs? ever since they changed the layout of the whole site, seems like many labels have become incomplete. up until a couple days ago next gen & blatant beats used to have no info on tracks that were released after 2006 or some yr close to that
been trying to properly tag my tracks by label & cat. #. it makes it easier to find out what tracks i've already purchased and what i'm missing on each of the labels (not including tracks that i don't like enough to purchase). i've already accidentally purchased duplicate copies of tracks and trying to prevent that from happening.
also, is there a site other than discogs that has a database for hardcore labels? i know this 1 does but i don't think it's very complete

No database is ever going to be complete, the information is submitted by users.

Several years ago i used the site. I submitted various releases, one contribution was declined with the reason being something like "this database is for electronic music, take your crap elsewhere". I was trying to submit a very well known eurodance album. I cancel all my pending contributions and never used the site again.

I've had trouble trying to make submissions in the past too. I never tried since, I don't want to have to go through so much hassle just to contribute to a database. I still use the website every week though.

yea that's pretty messed up whispering.
i used to think that only label owners were allowed to add or make any corrections, but i know a friend who religously adds & edits many releases in the US Hard House category. but i'm guessing there is someone who does verify the info ppl put on there

what? how many years back was that?
Anyways, I've heard that they have had problems with moderators. But now they accept basicly everything, from rock to opera. So I'd say, submit anything that they dont already have.
latin: what information are you after exactly?
What I can see, they have most 2006 releases correct. It must have been a bug you've encountered if there was no information on the 2006 releases

I still have the account, and one of my other submissions says it was contributed over 7 years ago. So probably 2004. That wasn't the only problem i had with the moderators though. Often with a bit tricky releases they would be completely oblivious what i was adding, and just decline it. I was going to post a link to one of those, but apparently its still missing from the DB :D It was one of Ayumi Hamasakis megamix albums, like it had 17 tracks, but it had 50 different songs. So e.g. 4 different remixes of the same song were mixed together, to make a "track".
