I have to put in a word for icex though, prior to this he really wasnt attacking people as much as he used to
that comment from the_fourth was kind of uncalled for....
still though, why not produce at 165? obviously it will be a little harder for those who like to play at 180+ when they cant pitch it up that far but it can be worked around as Brian K said
if its on the principle that "slow is whack".... well I cant really argue with your opinion. I think if it sounds good its perfectly fine.

hardcore isn't about a certain speed, it's about the rawness and energy that comes from the music. my sets range from 160-220+bpm.
you have to also realize that if you play out, most people don't dance to things faster than 180, unless of course you're playing an all hardcore party.
bottom line, hixxy had it produced/pressed at this speed because this is what he wanted.

icex i was never attacking your opinion and beliefs, everyone has the right to there own, makes everyone an individual and quite frankly i am with you i prefer freeforem, breakbeat and other 180+ bpm tracks. i was never attacking your argument, just the way you went at putting it forward.
