I think it's also very wrong to insult someone just because you don't like their music, as it has absolutely nothing to do with what they are like as a person.

Sharkeys mixes have always been among the best. Hes a great DJ and most of the tunes on his mixes are amazing, especially on Bonkers 5. For a hardcore dj you seem to lack any knowledge of the genre and the people within it. You should stick to childrens parties.

Actually, I find this whole debacle kinda amusing. Remember when Shooting Star got redone by Flip and Fill? We effectively had half our active members turn into DJ Spexs, wanting to lynch F&F and do inhuman things to their corpses and mothers and whatnot. Where was musical taste back then?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that DJ Spex isn't a knob. He is. It's just that it seems kinda hypocritical for some members (not naming names) to accept the criticism of one artist(s) as a some kind of sport whilst defending another artist from criticism in the name of musical freedom.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it's against the normal, if you dont like sharkey then thats fine. I personal love the stuff he is banging out.
Bonkers is 3 discs, I actually like the fact they are all a little different than each other with the current combination of Scott Brown, Hixxy and Sharkey.
There are other CD's if you dont like bonkers, it's not like it's the only hardcore CD out there.

Think it's time for you to lay off the Bucky DJ Spex.
Sharkey is one of the major contributors to this scene, has been for years, and hopefully will be for years to come. He's putting out and playing some of the most forward thinking and innovative hardcore around. Ever been to a night where Sharkey plays? Ye'll see how much the crowd love him. Mind you, judging by your posts I'd be surprised if you've ever been anywhere other than the local bus-stop to scrawl "Spex fae Glesga ya bas" and chib some innocent bystander for not tucking his trackies far enough into his socks.
I look forward to the always hilarious "weegie banter" and threats that you'll kick my head in. Ain't gonna happen mate - for a start it'd take you to long to tap people for the fare at Buchanan Street station.

Let’s get a few things straight here. When the scene died back in 98/99 a lot of people walked away and slagged off hardcore. I didn’t'. . I didn’t make a lot of money when it died. What did I do? I put my own hand in my own pocket and trained up engineers Paid them out of my money, Helped them along with hundreds of other people daily on the net. Happy, Freeform, Hard. Whatever their learning curves I helped them.
I don’t get paid for it and I don’t have to do it. I do it coz I love my scene and I want it to grow, and be respected amongst its peers. Only now with all the great sounds from all the labels with all the styles can we now grow forward as a scene. Hardcore is at its most diverse at the moment and there is something in it for everyone and I feel the album has balance for all lovers of hardcore in all its forms. I respect the love of all hardcore for each and every person and you are trying to tell people what they shouldn’t listen to. It goes further than your point of view when you get personal as well.
My close friend and driver carol is pardon the pun the biggest "cheeser" on the planet (that’s her submission too!!!) Fair ****in play to her. That’s what she likes!! I don’t cuss her for listening to what she wants. She didn’t even know what I played before she drove me. She didn’t even go to all the different types of gigs I get invited to play at. I helped open her eyes to other music’s and she still is a cheeser, and I was purist cheeser in my day, but by the childish way you have written these posts....You were still in infant school while i was partying.
You are having a go at people for their own points of views and that is wrong!!!
You see Spex Music is all about balance and Hardcore needs balance. Freeform hardcore brings other sounds into the music. We as humans are individuals and want what we want. Once hardcore was one sided and it couldn’t keep up with the different tastes of the punters......IT DIED!!!! It used to be different but that changed.
I love the scene right now with all the textures from all the labels, and see musically that we have solved a lot of our problems as genre in whole. It’s nice to be in a hardcore room with all the music banging off together. Happy
I have helped bring other textures back into the scene. To keep other tastes occupied, and I feel with my help with all of the scenes labels and sounds. We have proudly reinvented hardcore. Together as one with the good old fashioned values of hardcore...

500,000 or so that brought my various music’s and products over the years must be wrong and React can afford to have a substandard sound/D.J on Bonkers? What do you think?? They do it by put Sharkey on there coz he is crap and he will sell it. They must want what the people are asking for as that reflects in sales. And I am afraid my sales record speaks for itself. Even though I do no think that I am a better person for it and that it should make me avoid all criticism

Trust a child to take the freebie and not even realize the consequences of his actions. Perhaps he will thank me one day, when its Bringing Bonkers Back that has helped bring Jobs to so many within the scene and given fresh hope to loads of artists wishing to try and make a break out of it, and this guy is telling you how to take money out of the little guys pocket. I am O.K I get D.J work and Bonkers (remember i am only in it for the money in your opinion), BUT what about the 18 year old at college Studying music. What do you think his chances are when you are downloading his first pay day from his little bit he has earned from his first track on say Bonkers.

heh, I nearly wrote a full reply to this then thought errr ****it, the kid knows he's scum already, or would do if he had the capacity to think for himself! "I hate sharkey and want him dead" "errr actually now you've all given me grief for not liking him I think I like him again". hahahah.
Just one point, someone said "spex" is a good dj. Does he really expect to get anywhere now after this? Coz I doubt it'll be forgotten.
Anyone wanna buy some 1210s?
