i have to blow some steam here. i just got finished talking to some idiot in a chatroom who thinks that sharkey should be kicked from bonkers!
now what annoyed me about this "kid" is that he has only started listening to hardcore since Bonkers 10 came out - and hasnt a clue what sharkey has done for Bonkers AND the hardcore scene in general. he hadnt listened to any of the other bonkers and hadnt given any of sharkeys other music a try
this guy was clearly one of the "cool" kids back 4/6 years ago who slagged hardcore off because it wasnt "cool" and now suddenly magically loves it again because everyone else doe's....
Hardcore WOULD NOT be anything like it is today if it wasnt for producers like Sharkey and everyone else who held the're head up high through "the dark years"
so i say, BIG shout out to all those who kept the hardcore scene alive through that time and before so it could become the incredbile sound it has today! (and that INCLUDES sharkey)
sorry just had to get that off my chest or i fear i may have exploded in a not-so-plesant manner.
(just for the record - "sharkey - product of society (hardcore society mix)" is one of my favs)

That guy is an idiot. Sharkey's motivation may be the one biggest reason why hardcore still exists today. He's a master on the decks, legendary producer, and above all a visionary who works his ass off to keep hardcore at the forefront of underground music. Most people already know this, those who don't will find out soon enough

I think some people just think their own personal taste is the end of the line when it comes to making a judgement.
Ok, I'm not Sharkey's biggest fan, purely because I dont like the freeform syle much, but thats just my personal taste, loads of people love his stuff and he is a genius mixer!!
Hardcore is the passion of the chosen....

Sharkey is the don simple realy hes got a lot of respect from the ravers eg for Bonkers being one of the main pioneers of freeform which quite frankly deserves undoubted amounts of respect.
It doesnt end there.
Seen as the greatest MC of all time, winning countless awards and Ive NEVER heard anyone slate his skills like others have been slated for the main reason ya cant fault him at all.
Production wise, where do I start he has made an awesome amount of tunes as well too may to name.
This person that said these things is entitled to an opinion but doesnt have much sense as the sharkz is the don :)

I wouldn't lose any sleep over some dumbass comments by those kinda people. Sharky kicks ass. Some 10 year old's uninformed opinion doesn't change that.

i'll be honest and say i prefer the vocal/trancy side. you can agree or disagree, but you can't fault sharkey for everything he's done for the hardcore scene in general. big respect to him
