An easy end to the argument.........use both if you cant decide.......take a look at the top of the range Denon cd decks.......you can play vinyl on the top and cds on the underside..........its all good!

unfortunatly price is approx £800 a deck......i think...dont hold me to that though!lol

Check one, two were the bad boy krew, cream of the crop!

Both are good.
Vinyl of course is nicer...its more tangible, fun to play with/collect, you can see the grooves, easier to manipulate
Cds u can play out dubs/originals, use the people as guinea pigs

I dont understand how people say that CDs have no skill. Its the same mixing. Just instead of pushing off a record you press a button. A bunch of people so far have said that vinyl is easier to control which is true. In my opinion it is actually harder to mix with CDs, because you dont have as much control and there are no visible grooves to go by. It is very possible to mix 2 records on vinyl you have never heard before with each other and do fine just by viewing the grooves and using general beat matching skills. CDs you really gotta know the song or else your just doing guesswork. Anyways its best IMO to use both, I just wish more stuff would be released on CD so I had more of an option.

For me ears, CD is clearer and can produce better quality.

Seeing as Vinyl get pressed from CD's it shows...

I like vinyl for the crackle, and the imperfection of it. Sounds cool when you scratch, but the reality is that CD is more, well its better.

The only real thing that Vinyl has going for it these days is the "31337" factor and the fact that there are turntables in almost every club.

Don't start with the ripping of CDs arguement, you can rip vinyl too....
