At last, the long awaited request system for Intense Radio has arrived. This means you can now request to hear your favourite mixes, and they will be played out on the live stream for you to enjoy.
Due to our RIAA licence we are not allowed to play out requests until at least 1 hour after the request is made, but once the hour is up your request will be added to the request queue and will be played as soon as any requests in the queue before it have been played.
To make a request simply go into the archive and select a mix to view the playlist. Then hit the request link and your mix will be added to the queue.
Requests are limited to 2 per listener in any 24 hour period, and if there is already more than 5 requests in the queue then the request will not be made so that the queue does not become clogged up. So, what are you waiting for? Go get requesting!!!

Woot! Looking good my friend .
Is there any way to see what is going to be played (the 5 things in the request list)???

Technically it is possible for me to do this *BUT* the RIAA licence prevents me from doing this . This is a feature I really wanted to implement, but as always I am being held back by red tape.
For some reason the RIAA have some very annoying regulations that I can't see the point of (like the 1 hour between request being made and being played rule - this doesn't apply to terrestrial radio, only webcasters!).
Anyway, I think the licence system is under review later this year, so hopefully some fo the restrictions will be lifted and this will be implemented. Anyway, rant over heh

It's so that someone does not request a song and then record it. Same reason we don't post track lists.
Ever notice that radio stations can not saying what is coming up either, they have to say "the new one from ....."

I hadn't noticed that before, but now you mention it......
Doesn't stop people trying to record though... the number of times I have had to kick people off who were connected twice (I wonder why!!??!!) when I was running a shoutcast server is unbelievable!
