Hardcore- what is it?
I personally think its the hardcore of all types of dance music mixed in together in a big remixer and put over that beat and out comes lots of different stypes which different djs specialise in- which is why i dont get people who say this or that djs stylie isnt hardcore when it's still over 165bpm and still get the hardcore raverz going

yeah, its a hard definition. I once saw somewhere to think of the word.. And this was defined as a Hard core with a soft outer i.e hard beats and vocals.

Hardcore to me is All types of Hardcore ,Old skool,Happy,Upfront ,Gabber...I dont class anything else hardcore ,And couldnt care for the rest.

but i find it hard to explain too. I tend to say that it's Fast paced Trance like stuff with vocals and better sounds! (it's not how i see it but thats how i explain it and people tend to understand it like this and know what i mean...) - And i'm ready for the Assault from Smilee now...

another name I call freeform is trancecore..
definition of hardcore to me:
take the best of trance, the best of drum n bass, put them together and speed it up. You get hardcore.

Not harder - faster... most hardcore isn't hard, just fast. e.g. boomstick is "hard" but not many tunes are except some gabba stuff. Shooting star is not "hard"....
Its all just speedy beats.

Man you all got it wrong. Hardcore is a lifestyle it is something that unites us. Give us peace. Something thats hidden man, something that give us a rush. Without drugs. Hardcore any form is a drug itself. I'm addicted, are you?

Yup! What i like about the hardcore scene is that everyone is pretty open minded. Look at how many different styles of good music there was at the fasttrack on NYE- nothing compares to it. I think that's why hardcore ravers dont have any set dress code or any real image- theres one thing that unites us and its music and drugs, which is why a hardcore rave is the ultimate
