Me and my 3 mates who dj including myself who dj's we put on a little event, we found this club in our area which could fit bout 150 ppl. it only cost $100 and they had ok lights in there, but either way we had our own gear, so we split costs $25 each and then we spent another $20 on photocopying flyers. we put em round every where at bus stops etc. but however we were left dissapointed cause all we got was 20 ppl. but either way it was a start. But we learnt where we went wrong and for our next event in july were gonna do things a whole lot more differently.
