Id say 97 and 04 for me. In 97 Hixxy came out with "WANTING TO GET HIGH" from the happy 2b hardcore series. This year i heard Scott Brown's "It's all about you". No two other tunes have been in my head longer than these trax. Too hard to choose ONE year

This year is by far the best year for Hardcore. In the UK, that is. In the USA, where I am, the new-and-imporved style of hardcore really hasn't picked up AT ALL. Even when you talk to ravers, they're all like, "oh yeah, that happy hardcore stuff is just plain crap, and it's so cheesy." But they have failed to realise where hardcore has gone.
I think there's a relapse between the UK and other countries, as far as the popularity of hardcore goes. Other countries "catch-on" to hardcore about a couple of years after it booms in UK. We're all just a little behind, which sucks royally.
The quality of Hardcore is year is better than last year, and every year before that. Next year will be better tyhan this year. That's just way that you have to look at it. It will always improve upon itself.

I have to say i think hardcore keeps getting better and better obviously there are classic sets and tunes from 94 etc but i really think hardcore is just getting better.
Appart from when i listen to a trance cd and song after song is hardcore, then i shout at the cd for like the whole way through the tune haha the latest being "cloudy dayz" grrrr but hey im not gonna go into that cos its prob been a topic on here a million times :D.

I think it would be impossible for me to decide a best year there has been excellent releases every year from the very beggining I do prefer the older stuff though.

96-98 for me, although the curent style is great you cant beat the energy and rawness that hardcore had in those years.
