One thing i find is i cant be alone anywhere without my hardcore in my walkman. Doesnt matter what time it is, i just cant stand the sound of everyday life. Anyone else like this?

so are you saying its your DEEP love for hardcore that doenst allow you to listen to anything else in the world? Or do you truly hate everyday noise?What kinda noises are you talkin about anyway?

both. Love the music and wouldnt play anything else in my walkman. But the sounds of life irritate me. Just turn up the music and enjoy the tranquility. Blocks out the surroundings

LOL..well in that case, I block out my surroundings here at work cuz i work in an office with a bunch of loudmouths. At home I live right near a freeway offramp, so its loud as F*&# sometimes, (sirens, screeching cars, horns, etc.)
Those sounds irritate me. You said it best though...Just turn up the music.

i like 2 block out everyday sound as wel. wen i dont have any hardcore 2 listen 2 when i on a bus or sumfin i get really annoyed.

Especially during the summer, I hate when I have my windows wide open and then a bunch of motorcycles vrooom on by at like 12 at night!
Yeah, well the "sounds of life" don't irritate me one bit. It's sort of nice to know and see that people are actually still alive...LoL!

Everyday sounds don't bother me but it's nice to have some music while you're out. My MP3-CD player does the job for me, and it was cheap too :)
Another thing though, having earphones in is a good way to get back some of your personal space, especially when you're walking through cities, it deters some of the people constantly trying to get your attention every 5 seconds (beggars, charity fundraisers, scientologists, etc) although unfortunately not all of them :(

I'm afraid to say I'm an ipod addict, my ipod mini goes everywhere with me and it never lets me down.
I have a few mates who say they don't like listening to tunes while on the move, but to that I say pah! There's nothing like walking through a busy charing cross station whilst listening to some thumping happy hardcore or techno. Kind of makes you feel detached from it all, while at the same time the music suits the hecticness of the city.

Sometimes everyday sounds can be an inspiration.... the vibe in a big city n all that. Sometimes its just plain annoying to me though. Tyres of boy racers' cars screeching and loud mouthed kids whos parents don't give a **** and just let them run wild are sounds that really annoy me.
I do listen to my walkman tonnes though when I'm off walking about purely coz I love listening to music.... doesn't deter the beggars much here in manchester though... some of them are ok and really polite and friendly, and occaisionally I'll stop n talk to them for a minute, but alot of them are just plain rude. I had my walkman on once, he thought I couldn't hear him but it was between tracks so I had silence and he was proper rude.... something along the lines of "spare some change you prick?" at which point his mate started laughing his head off. Soon shut up though when I turned and said "sorry you wanker" lol
