ok so some hardcore tracks are nicked olde tunes that your mums and dads listened to, but lets face it, the hardcore versions made kickass tunes,
ppl like flip and fcuk it up make crappy mixes of the hardcore track,
it should be kept hardcore, and as they say if it ant broke then dont try and fix it,
now i can see all the "clubbers" out there bitching about hardcore nicking there tracks. if that were to happen i can assure you it will be a better track.

SIGHs ****************** IT GETS WORSE
New hardcore from AATW
HappyHardcore.com has done some major news digging and come up with some juicy information on upcoming hardcore releases on AATW. The new track from Dougal & Styles that has been announced on AATW website is actually NOT the "Love of my life" remix that HappyHardcore.com originally speculated it was, the love of my life remix will be released by a different group (to be announced).
The Styles & Dougal track that is slated for release is actually Styles & Dougal - Shining Down - a remake of the original Force & Styles track. Styles & Dougal have had two tracks signed to AATW with Shining down being the first with another yet to be announced track.
HappyHardcore.com didn't stop there... The next Breeze & Styles track to be released from AATW is 100% confirmed to be the massive hardcore hit on RaverBaby Breeze & Styles - Heartbeats... oh and it gets better... the AATW promo which is due in two weeks will contain three hardcore mixes! Those hardcore mixes will be by Re-con, Scott Brown and of course the original hardcore mix plus a Hixxy hard trance mix and a Rezonance Q trance mix. The full release will be out in 2-3 months.
AATW is so impressed with hardcore and the hardcore scene they actually want the hardcore mix on there and apparently signed You're Shining directly from the original hardcore mix!
Yay for the hardcore versions
But if they make these tunes into trance i will scream

^^^ Why are you bitching?... the original artists are making these into other versions... I say again THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS... not AATW, not another artist... It's all good for hardcore :)

I think you dont even realise how big that news is. If they would release singles with only hardcore mixes, nobody would buy it. Just take any Hardcore cd single and see how many they sold. Why? Because eurotrance is the big thing now (like eurodance was in the 90's), majority of clubs play it. If the singles wouldnt have the trance version 95% of the DJ's wouldnt have any use for the single -> wouldnt buy it. Same way as you wouldnt play a Flip & Fill tune on your set.
Now we get 3 Hardcore mixes on a single (witch is more then any other hardcore CD single has at the moment?), and also few trance mixes, witch will bring the music to a MUCH bigger audience. It only provides music to 2 diffrent scenes, that to be honest are very similar (speaking of the "raverbaby" hardcore). We pitch up eurotrance, they slow down hardcore. Yet not many can even hear the diffrence.
This is not anything new, in the mid 90's many eurodance artists had Hardcore mixes on their singles. Witch i think was a very good thing. its also done with many other genres, e.g. many Artists have trance and house mixes etc.

"I agree we sampled dance tracks before, but at least when they use our hardcore ones rather than sample them, they actually pay the original artists!"
True dat.
DMS has got it right too.
I somewhat understand the original poster's frustrations...but you gotta realize that this is how it works.
A great example I can think of is that one track "When I fall in Love", there was a hardcore version that a lot of people used to play. Not many know that it was based on a Eurodance track. But even those who knew that, even less knew that it was originally a freestyle song from Lil Suzy.

I supose i have to admit that it is good news that the original artists are making alternative versions and thank you god that hardcore may once more be brought back to the ears of the public on a b side. its been so long sice ive heard any tunes in the charts other than r n b and garage and rap/hip hop
I guess even a trance version of a hardcore tune is better than that. may pave the way for us ravers to say "hang on yung un. wanna hear the original?"

I've lost count of the amount of times i've heard "what have they done to my song" we've sampled to many tunes to complain about others doing it.
To solve the problem of peole not knowing where the original came from producers should only sell the rights to it if the person remixing it puts the original artist in the creds or put the hardcore version on the single saying (original mix).

Correct me if I am wrong but aren't Flip and Fill aka Force and Styles?
Also we cannot really bitch when 'pop' versions of hardcore tunes are released when alot of 'new' hardcore are covers of Trance tunes. i.e Come into my dreams, Take me away, all of my life etc etc.
One by one the penquins slowly steal my sanity...........
