Must admit, DMS does have a good idea, but I am anti his idea purely because this site is a free site, and has always been a free site. some members have an awful lot of very valid points to make on alot of subjects, so the base limit would have to be quite high. However, most of the spammers have not alot to say on any subjects, and all their posts end up being spam. This would not solve the problem of spam. Say the base limit was set at 30 free posts a month, that is potentially either 30 quality posts (alot of people on here post alot more than that of quality) or 30 spams from ONE person a month.

Of course i was joking, but i do think there should be some kind of deterrent to stop people taking the piss. What that might be i'm not sure but i'd have fun trying different ideas!!

as funny as that is and it being a good idea at first at second thought, whenever dave has just bollocked people, they just stress and use it as an opportunity to attack back and all it does is turn every topic into a slagging match.
how many of you have gone into a post about one thing and by the second page its just everybody going mental at each other?

I really don't care about my #of posts. If I have something to say, then I'll say it. I mean if I were to read something on the second page, that may have nothing to do with the topic and I have an opinion about it, than I'll write a post. I rarely check my post count these days.

Even though what I will be saying is basically repeating everything that everyone as said, posting gets annoying for the people who try to read posts about a certain topic and all they get is crap that has nothing to do with the subject. So haf the time most of us or just me feels like screaming at those people and ask them how stupid are they for saying something that had nothing to do with anything. Kdone.
