new stuff all the way. you can't keep playing the same fricken tunes over and over. we've finally gotten back to the diversified amount of styles like it was back in 94/95.
the main thing that killed hardcore was because it was the same sing along crap over and over.
everything became too cookie cutter

yea back in the early 90's it was just the same thing it was all the same..but i have to say that all this freeform and trance-core is sounding the same as well. Some tracks sound like nrg stuff and some of the layers of synths are sound the same. but i rather prefer happy hardcore..you cant diss on oldskool hhc thats what made freeform and trancecore! like some new hardcore is to slow for me. most tracks won't venture of 165 maybe 170. I want to hear THE POUNDING BASS AND THE HAPPY VOCALS AND PIANO ROLLS!
but i also know that hardcore as whole has revolutionized and such and everything but its like most of these djs have forgotten about HHC and just started to make the "hardcore" but in all honesty its not that hard in fact i sometimes speed up my freeform tracks because they are a bit slow...but im someone who loves a track that is 180-190.

I CANT BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE ARE SAYIN RAVER BABY & THE R-B-C CREW ARE DEAD. THERE'S GOTTA BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YA. I WILL ADMIT I LOVE MY HAPPY HARDCORE FROM BACK IN THE DAY & I WISH THEY WOULD DO A CLASSIC SET AT EVERY RAVE, BUT IT WAS RAVER BABY WHAT MADE HARDCORE WHAT IT IS TODAY. HAPPY HARDCORE WAS DEAD IN 99 UNTILL HIXXY & UFO PULLED THERE FINGERS OUT & HAD THE BALLS 2 TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT 2 TRY & GET HARDCORE GOING AGAIN WHICH HAS MADE HARDCORE THE BIGGEST IT HAS EVA BEEN SINCE 95,96,97. IF IT WASN'T FOR RAVER BABY YOU WOULD BE SITTING AT HOME AT THE WEEKENDS LISTENING 2 UR SISTERS BRITNEY SPEARS CHEESEY POP CLASSICS. REALLY YOU SHOULD BE GIVIN HIXXY, UFO, BREEZE & STYLES SOME RESPECT FOR DOIN WHAT THEY ARE DOIN SO U CAN STILL GO RAVIN TO HARDCORE!!!!!!!!!!! DONT FORGET THE CRY........HARDCORE WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!
im a raver baby so why dont you kill me

*clears throat*
bollocks, as far as i'm concerned! the speed of the music nowadays is quicker than it used to be in terms of BPM, fact.
and as for jenna's vocals...... she's still singing on the newer "commercial" stuff that you hate so much!
i agree there are reasons as to why some of the old stuff is better than the new, but it's definately not the ones you've picked

have you even been to a "rave" or do you just listen at home? You do realize there are more people producing now than just the popular old producers you've mentioned? I don't even like most of the stuff of the people you mentioned.
ps. i've heard the same amount of male vocals now as I did back in '97/'98.
