Personally I think the Hardcore scene will explode. Very progressive, including trance influences, melodies and hard fast beats. This music is not just for late teens, i'm in my early 20s and hardcore first caught my attention from 1994-1997.
This music is winning over load of people who are well and truely tried of boring Trance and slow twangs. Always seems fresh and full of ideas.

I hope your right mate. Agree with the thing about raves as well. I have a few mates that'd never listen to hardcore normally but once they get inside a rave hear the hectic beats and gat taken away with the vibe... well they just love it and we all dance around like spazzes for hours, then when its finished they wont listen to any hardcore till i take em out again.
a lot of dance nights are too much about poncing about, looking cool and pretending you like boring house beats or hand in the air trance. For a top laugh and a don't care attitude nothing beats hardcore.
Thing with hardcore is that it can't (or shouldn't) be pidgeon holed, theres something for everybody and if you can hack the pace then there's a huge range of stuff to enjoy. You could have a massive 5 room event, all hardcore and to the average joe it'd sound so different they'd swear no two rooms were the same genre. Thats why i love it so much.

This hits the nail on the head. I came to hardcore from trance, sick of the direction it was going in, half of it turning into cheesy dance-pop and the other half turning very housy and dull. Also hated the attitude at trance nights. Hardcore has everything that I loved about trance (banging beats and euphoric melodies) but MORE of them, and all the negatives from the trance scene are gone as well, it's perfect!

Yeah, I think hardcore is picking up alot of new fans and especially outside europe. (us, canada, japan, australia new zealand etc) Also i seem to notice the crowd being different than to over here in Belgium and Holland. Over here people still too often see it as a music for scumbags, racists, lower working class music but luckily it really looks different in other countries if I hear stories from people in the Us and canada etc

well the only reason we have so many teens and such is because its only been around for like what 14 years?? so of course were not gonna have a "wide range of age" because it really hasn't been around that long to actually have a large range of ages. thats how i see it...its always AWESOME TO HAVE THE BALANCE BETWEEN OLLDER CROWD and YOUNGER CROWD.
