i fought he played hardcore on radio 1
everytime i put it on the music is shiiiiiiiiiiiittt
but then he puts bout 1 hardcore track on and thats it then for hardcore

na mate there was just a two show special hardcore show on a while bk now he dont always play it it was a special it was hixxy first then the next night it was hixxy and sharkey clsm and more

Peely has played loads of hardcore..... the beauty of his show is that he plays what he likes.... not just one genre...... he doesn't lean towards one particular style, but shares it equally with all stuff he likes.
It has tobe said, nuff respect to the guy. If it wasn't for him theres loads of different stuff I'd never even have bothered looking up

he is responsible for getting alot of up and coming bands recognition and he is the only radio 1 dj who plays what he likes so fair play. He's about 60 years old as well so it's suprising he plays any hardcore at all its good to see someone of his age with an open mind to new musical styles hardcore or otherwise.

He didnt ask for a hardcore tune to put his name in it so why should he feel he has to play hardcore all the time if he likes other stuff as well. He's doin more for the scene than anyone else at radio 1.

John Peel will play anything. If you're fairly open minded about music then it's a great show to listen to because you get to hear all sorts of stuff you'd otherwise never hear, but if all you want to hear is hardcore, then Radio 1 probably isn't where you should be looking in the first place...
