Hi, I used to be well into the scene in the mid 90s and regularly attended Vibealite, Hardcore Heaven, Dreamscape, Pleasuredome, Club Kinetic, Helter Skelter etc. I also used to DJ myself and still have a massive collection of records up in the loft (stuff from around the Toy Town, Disco Land, Field of Dreams era) I left the scene around 1998 and havent really heard much of it since and I stopped DJing as there was never really any other kind of music I was into. I was just wondering if there is still a scene in the Uk and whether the same DJs are still around or if they have moved onto other scenes (Dougal, Hixxy, Sy, Seduction, Force + Styles etc)
Cheers

Happy Hardcore receives little or no coverage in the UK now not like it used to back in the mid 90s

You must not have been on the internet for long because there are countless sites similar to this. As for events, there are more than ever! You're going to have one hell of a time catching up mate! ----------------------------- Arguably one of the best

I think one of the reasons I stopped going was, that every event used to be full of idiots from a place in merseyside called Birkenhead and they started kicking off at every event. I remember the dance floor just parting at Helter Skelter coz a massive fight was going off in the middle of the main arena

That dosent mean you have to move on if you want to get back into the scene you should. Find someon that likes the same music and arrange to go to an event with them.

Is pretty true about little to no coverage round here though unless you use these sites or no people that attend raves. The amount of people that tell me they didnt think hardcore was being made anymore when i let them hear it and thats people that used to be right into it back in 95-98 time.
Venga familia!!!

Don't want to worry you mate, but it's pretty much the same nowadays too!
As for having mates to go to events with, don't worry about it. I go to events on my own but theres always somebody there i know from some of the hardcore sites - great way to make new friends.
