Im sure that at some point in everyones raving career, you have been listening to your Hardcore and someone has overheard. they kind of look at you as if you have just killed a baby cat or something lol. But i kind of the like that fact that people look at me and think "err what shit music that it". Casue in my head i just think, yeah im Hardcore...your not!!!

I would rather more people do like it, but when they dont, and you get the stare, in some respects i just find it funny. I have developed the appreciation and they havent.

Rave On!!!

i'm in school right now. listening to hardcore. some are intrigued and are like wow whats that you got on?! others just dont like it, most males take the piss, but when i tell them stories about raves and show them picture and photos they all seem at least a lil bit interested. i like to be original, and i like to have my personal space, hardcore is special and dont really want all these kids in this school to like what i like. its the same as my pink beanie hat! no one else here has one!

wow random rambling there! non of it makes sence!

I've had this for years. You must be strong Mr Raver, and not give in to the masses.

But wouldnt you rather just listen to Commercial Rap all day long? you know, Eminem, Snoop, Dre, Ice Cube man i love all the repititive music about the same shit over and over (hoes, rimz, weed, cash, and inventing your own words like Fo Shizzle and Heezy.

who cares how people look at you, havent you ever looked at someone wierd, even unintentionally? happens all the time... keep it hardcore

<*>WHAT?! Im sorry, I can't hear you cuz my Hardcore's too loud, ur gonna have to shut up!"<*>

If ppl grief hardcore then i just give them an earfull about how shit their music is, and at the top of my lungs so they get embaressed - usually works.

People do tend to find hardcore ravers a bit comical, anno in my work when i say i'm goin to a rave always get a few comments about pilled up loonies, glowsticks whistles etc but it's mostly true tbh and they're only saying it in fun. If anyone really acts an arse about it just think they'll never have as good a night as we experience when out so the jokes on them really. I think older ravers get all this stuff worse as when your a teenager it's kinda expected to do things like ravin and a lotta people can relate to it but older folk have to put up with a lot more crap with people thinkin they should've grown out of it or whatever, or just people full of their own self improtance who like to look down on others. Agree with emmy aswell though cos a lotta people i no who are absolutely nothin to do with the scene get very curious and interested about ravin and what it's like, even a couple have asked if i'd take them sometime so it's kinda swings and roundabouts.

Venga familia!!!

When I was in college, I was listening to a whole load of audio from Helter Skelter. One of my mates came over and heard it and started laughing his ass off. I looked at him and went what? He was laughing at the MC going mental on the mic.

I just shrugged it off.

Later that year, I was listening to a tape in art class, and one of the people asked what I was listening to -- I let them listen a bit, and they asked if they could borrow the tape. I said no problem. Weeks passed and I didn't get my tape back, he had somehow lost it.

However a little later on, and indeed for the rest of the two years at college the common room's tape player (which is always on to liven up the atmosphere) was always playing MY tape.

Little did they know it was my tape. I was the most unpopular kid in School. If they knew it was mine they'dd probably stop playing it through personal bias.

Either way, many people may scoff, but the fact is -- when it started out as a running joke and something to scoff at, it turned into the MOST CONSTANTLY played, MOST POPULAR audio amongst the two years at college, and I wouldn't be surprised if that tape is still kicking around in that college.

I once told people at work that i'm into rave....they said "whats that?"...I said "Happy hardcore/Hardcore"...they said..."ahh....I didn't realise you were into all that headbanging"...I didn't reply...

I Dont "headbang" for a start- never mind doin it at 180bpm...

As for the glosticks.....I went into a club and saw a huge banner: ("Glostick FREE zone").......I left.

What the hell is negative about glosticks!?!

It's a strange, strange world to which we live in.

haha today I actually was at my School's library on a Mac. And on Itunes. So i went to the "Hard Core" channel on di.fm. And blasted one of Cloudskipper's mixes. The kid next to me put a cup over his mouth and made an udst udst udst sound. While some random teacher yelled hey, i reserved this part of the libarary for a reason... So i was like.." No one gives a flying fu**, I"M HARDCORE!!!!!"

No actually i just shrugged my sholders and just resumed my work.

My friends and I always drive around blasting happy hardcore and singing at the top of our lungs. People think we are crazy but this is hardcore bitch!!!

I have a few friends at my college that are ravers, and I am sure I know the only people who like hardcore, but when we talk about raving to randoms they are usually like "Techno is ok, accept for that happy hardcore!" I am always just like "Happycore is the shiznit, you have no idea!! Poor You!!!"
