Hi there to all the hardcore funs
I was just wondering why hardcore is so "underground" in a bad way in London. There are no small nights featuring Hardcore DJs apart from one or two and these are on once every two to three months Of course you get all the big nights like Uproar, Slammin Vinyl, Tasty etc. happening but only a tiny percentage of these nights take place in London!
I think we need more hardcore nights featuring up & coming DJs giving London the chance to break new talents pushing the hardcore scene more into the most popular scene at the moment known as "Hard Dance".
Maybe happyhardcore.com (that's all of us, owners, moderators, djs and members) can initiate small promotion nights in London given the appropriate motivation by all of us.
What do you guys think?

I think there are something like 5 Hardcore nights in London mate. You've got the biggest scene in the country, next is probably Bristol, then Birmingham, then Manchester and thats it for the 'southern' style raves.

That's not true, Manchester and in general up north is much better for hardcore. The fact that some nights exist in london every 2 to 3 months doesn't mean that hardcore is alive in here. I was thinking of www.happyhardcore.com nights as a better solution worldwide as I think that this would attract all people on here. For example a research on here could definitely show whether it'd be worth having a happyhardcore.com related night in a city of all countries, such as London, Manchester (in the UK) and other cities of Japan, New Zeland, Australia, USA etc. In my oppinion it'd be worth trying.. The grass is always greener eh?
Sounds like a good idea, but I bet it'd be a logistical nightmare!!!! Immediate questions arise like:
a) who pays for all these events?
b) who organises it all centrally?
c) anybody want to book me to play?
Matthew aka DJ Underloop

I can certainly answer to b and c as follows; One or more local happyhardcore.com DJs can organise the night in his/her area. Help from all members would be a bonus of course! Booking you as a DJ is out of the question, as this is not about us being "popular" but it's about keeping the happy vibe alive!
As far as a is concerned, the moderators on here could create a special section on the forum for people to discuss about donations, help, volunteering work etc.

Putting on an event is no small order, it is very very hard to put on events anywhere in the world... Unfortanctly no one in the UK has put up their hand and said they would do it, they would have to spear head the whole idea, book the venue, work out the money and everything like that... until we have someone like this in each country will not be able to do this.
Ideas anyone?

We've got it worse here. I personally havent been to a rave but, in the near future once I'm decent at djing and a lil older and wiser. I'm gona help get an event organized somewhere in the city.
As to the scene, I've heard snipetes that its alright, but I never hear anything beyond what people say on the net.

I am willing to take care of this in London!
Come oooon guys, it only needs some time and patience, that's all!
Having said that, I believe it'll be easier for me to do so, as I am sort of involved in a night called INSEKT at club FIRE in London. My best mates run this night and I thik it won't be hard for me to find out everything we need in order to get the happyharcore.com nights up n runnin..

Seriously check the ush event listings. Manchester has one Hardcore night. A month. Wow thats great :| . You've got Elation, Happy Hardcore Morning and Tasty. If you think you've got no scene you really need to look harder. And I'd love to know where this northern scene is? ------------------------- Living on my planet is so easy, there is peace, there is love and there is Ecstacy :D

Tsaty is not an exclusive hardcore night, it's Billy Bunter's night and though it usually has a wicked hardcore line up, the crowed and atmosphaire is different. Anyway, that's the only decent one really, as happyhardcore morning is an affter party and it only features up n comming djs. I was not aware that Elation is on every month, is it? At the end of the day my proposal for the happyhardcore.com night could be seen as a new/different, exclusive hardcore, website-based night. Besides, as I mentioned above, that wouldn't be a London exclusive night. DjLORD xx
