Embarassed? Yes... for them... Anyone that hates what they don't understand needs to open their mind to the fact that they are not always right...

Embarassed? Yes... for them... we are the hardcore nation, 14,000+ members strong... they have not heard of hardcore then they should get with the program.

Embarassed? Yes... for them... they are listening to rock/rap :)

everyone has pretty much answered ever point to be covered. all i'd say in my own words is that imo, no other genre of music can be manufactured to be so personal to a person. a hardcore artist makes what he thinks sounds good, not what he thinks people will buy.

hardcore is as far as i'm concerned moer genuine. if anything, others should be embarresed because they can't appreciate our uniqueness, or merely appreciate that we like our stuff for a reason.

i won't have a go at them for what they choose, i will have a go at why they chose what they choose; because they do it to fit in/be cool/be fashonable.

i am proud of my hardcore and anyone who doesn't like it, well, that's their problem and i won't give them the time of day to insult what i, and so many others believe in.

Honestly officer, it's for medicinal purposes! Just ask my doctor, he's right over there eating the curtains!

I like the unique feeling when u say u listen to hardcore. But it is annoying when ppl just think of it as rave music for when 'you r purely raving on cowies' lol. Its also quite embaressing when ppl say 'urgh, new monkey' when u say u listen to hardcore (New Monkey is a rave which plays makina and is mainly for smackhead charver types and is full of shit charver mcs)
And then u explain there is a BIG difference between hardcore and 'new monkey' and they say 'sounds the same to me' and them im always forced to beat them with something heavy and blunt.

Please note (if you're from the North East of England) - I know not everyone that raves in the north east is a smackhead charver and the mcs aren't all smackhead charvers but a lot of them are and that is the publics view of rave music in the NE.
Also note - i like makina, just not the charvers lol!

I don't think you should ever be embarassed by the type of music you like to listen to.

Well maybe you should if you listen to Booty House. LOL

I'm not embarassed when I say I like Hardcore, I'm not embarassed when I say I like Scooter, I'm not even embarassed when I say I like Girls Aloud, well I like the Love Machine one anyway.

Emabarrassed? why should any1 be embarrassed ? I listen to Techno and Hardcore every single day, what can i say i love it, no matter where i go whoever i meet one of the first questions i ask them is what tunes u into? and straight away i tell em that i love my Techno and Hardcore, Im never embarrassed about it as Hardcore and Techno has a special thing about it and im very passionate about it.
Ive listened to it since the age of 12 and went to Helter Skelter for my first rave, since then ive never looked back, ive met some of the most nice, interesting and down to earth people u will ever meet and thats all thanks to the Hardcore/ Techno scene [:P]

...driving at 8 o'clock in the morning to wherever and I'll be banging the hardcore out of my car speakers, everyone would quickly look or turn around to 'what in tha hell is that noise'...thats my way to say I like hardcore and I dont even care if you didnt understand it. I'm not embarassed at all, I'm proud of it and not afraid to show it.

.....quote from an id&t album: (sounds like a prayer, lol)

When we saw the first light
In the days when we were pure and primitive

We cried, yelled, played
And did the things we thought

But there were ppl much older and wiser
Who thaught us that we had to learn

They told us how to say things,
How to behave and act the same

Now, years later, we live by the rules,
Respect the status quo

And think about things over and over again

There's still that little voice,
Pure and primitive

That says: f*ck it all

and yes, I would definitly ride any rainbow to whatever moon or stars any day
and just as I'm proud to say...'yes, I can boogie'

¿Who da hell is this?
::::: weird fish ::::: (aka raving loonatic)
