awww, I ate all of my Hershey bar...
uh, I mean--
God, as Alex knows, really picked me up from a very depressing time. I was going through a massively hard time (yes, you know about those American teenagers) and I was provoked to do incredibly unmentionable things... however, Alex helped me turn my head toward Church again, to look up and feel the light of God.
Now I pray almost every day, not like "Thank you God for blah blah blah" but with my soul. I feel it almost necessary to pray, not at every single moment, but, y'know, like brushing your teeth, or using a napkin with a meal. It's just one of those things that you just feel is necessary, and doing it just COMES to you.
I don't exactly fall to my knees and worship God, but he's more like a friend that I can count on when friends or family aren't there for me.
But, to tie this in with hardcore, yes. I have noticed that even a lot of the secular lyrics could have religious connections. I am the most religious of my family, and the only one that enjoys hardcore. I suppose that desire for something uplifiting and euphoric as hardcore brought me closer to God more than my rock family or my R&B, rap 'n hip hop society and school.
:D I am soooo thankful that hardcore is out there... it's the only pure music, in my opinion. Sure there's gabber, and I love that too, but every so often you need that uplifting happy feel without a controlling substance.
I vow to never take drugs-- the music is all I need.

What everyone needs to think about is this.
every person has his/her own beliefs, One aspect of happy hardcore is individualism. Ie. everyone can have their own views even if in another persons eyes they are wrong.
No one should be penalised for what they belive. That already happens in other music genres. So leave it out of hardcore.
We are all hardcore and that is FACT. together we are strong, split because of religion and watch us fall.
And before any of you shout at me saying im whatever, IM AN ATHEIST I do not believe in any religion.

I think it could be interpreted ether way. At first i thought it was against God but, now i think its kinda for God. Like he is the one saying it. Maybe i'm wrong but thats how i see it.
