Today in one of my lessons ( i hate to gonre this but its more understandable that i do) we (trendys) had an argument about music, the skaters started saying that all are music is "boom boom boom" and sounds the same, that its shit, and not proper music beause tis all computer generated... whenever people say that about my music it really pisses me off,

i appreciate all kinds of music...i may not like it but i still have respect for the artist etc.... i think if you really do love music you have to aprreciate all kinds...

im sorry i to post this but i hope you guys get as pissed of as me when they say "electronical music is not music and its all shit" its like ffs have a broader imagination and open your mind!!

Rant over

*Moonwalks off*

you either love me or wana F*K me

Yeah i get pissed too. I had to deal with that in my high shcool art class. We were alowed to play our music and i let them all year play the same cds over and over again but i never got up and turned it off or said it was shitty. But then when i played my cds they kept turning it off and were really rude abouit it. Sigh. I hate when they show no respect after i respected them all year. They didnt even give it a chance. Even when i got back up and turned it back on they turned it off again.Errrrr.... The anger awakens.

Hello. I love you.

All of my friends are into Metal ect, and yes most of don't accept Hardcore as music, they don't realise the time and effort that it takes to write a Hardcore tune.

My bro just says "it's shit turn it off" when i put Hardcore on, i always say "It's not to my taste" when he has his music on. The diffrence is i accept his music as being music, and don't label it as just noise. Even if it is "noise" someone somewhere took the time to sit and write the track, so it's "music" to atleast one person.

I do have a very good who is into all kinds of Dark Scarry Metal music, i mean serious Metal, but he will sit and listen to my music or listen to me on the decks. He ask's qustions about the music and is keen to find out why i like certain tunes ect. Not everyone is close minded.

People just don't give it a chance do they.....
If you listen to a hradcore tune with vocals.....99% of the time it's about love and happiness, not about some gangster shootin or anything....not about doin heavy drugs and "time".....It's happy...Where is the problem with that?

And for the tune without vocals.....It's not only "boom boom boom" ....There's always a melody of some sort in it....And again...It's a happy melody. People don't harass other genre's as much such as Heavy Metal....i've nothing against it...just not my thing...but surely there's a lot more drigs and what-not going on there....and it doesn't get a bad name....

Perhaps people are just against it for it's constant happy vibes....there's no sad tunes or "yea, lets go shoot someone" tunes....

Perhaps i'm just talkin' shit too....but hey, that's my opinion.

in the bowling alley where i work they play slit-ur-wrists rock all day every day. i don't complain about it, i deal with it. but wen sum1 comes in2 the kitchen and does the big fish-small fish-cardboard box dance and takes the piss outta my dance music I get really frustrated.

it is amazing how things have gone so crappy, and how people have suddenly became so narrow-minded towards muzik. its like being in the fifties or sumn.

hang in there, they're obviously all crap people.

Oh yeah... as for the whole "boom boom boom" thing goes, people get that idea about dance music because Boy Racers drive around with the windows down playin' some shit music with the base turned up so loud that all you can here is the "boom boom boom-ness", you don't get a chance to here the subtlety of a nice swirling acid melody at 70 miles an hour down by the shops.

All rock music is either sequenced or mastered on a computer system nowadays, so if they tell you hardcore is all electronic, tell them to go f*ck emselves because they're no better

it could be worse i suppose. the err "moshers" that you say "are small minded" could be into the hardcore scene and really fluff it up with their err "small mindedness" lol

errm i think what i am trying to say is be grateful that hardcore is so special to you. it obviously is as your getting to defensive and worked up... not a bad thing at all... infact its kinda cool.

oh and in response to the original question, nah i dont get pissed off at all... i think its kinda funny to be honest! i dont get hyped up and angry much, hehe just keep laughing!

anyone who is really into music of any kind can pick out talent when they hear it. they don't have to be into it, but they will understand talent.

all the people you are talking about aren't into music, they are trying to make a statement.

music isnt for making a statement. anyone who trys to make a statement with it is a ****ing moron.

hell, the guy who got me into metal (the really heavy hard choppy kind) is the same person who cracked open happy2bhardcore 7 (hey, its all we had at the time) and said "we use to listen to this all the time at the other store I worked at, its ****ing awsome!"

so point is

those people you are dealing with are fakes. they know they're fakes. so just walk away. they aren't worth your time or trouble

Heh, the people I see often who would normally complain about 'that boom-hiss music' that I play don't say a word to me because I love gritty breakneck guitar work just as much as a good breakbeat. =D And they know I'll play some sooner or later so they just keep their mouths shut and sit through it. (I seem to be the designated dorm DJ.)

Like other people have said, it comes down to respect. Sadly, it usually seems to go one way -- we'll put up with other music, but nobody wants to put up with us. =D I don't care, really. I probably get far more enjoyment out of my music than they do from theirs. >=)

*Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* I have the same thing happen at my work! They have a masive prolem with anything diffrent, VERY frustrating. I was gona say the same thing, about practicly all music today is done in the studio or whatever .

When people start saying all it is is boom boom boom, I give them an earful about the music industry. Most of them are left asking whats the mainstream? I think honestly you f***ing retarted c***s! All you accept is whats thrown at you on the tv and radio, so narrow minded you'd go like ficken lambs to slaughter! Follow the crowd, wana be like everyone else.

Sorry had to get that off my chest. Its amazing how so many of us love other music, and they dont. I love Stacy Orrico ! How crazy is that for a Hardcore nutter. Peace

When I grow up I wana be a D JJJJJJJJJJJJJ!
