Icex, don't buy a track you don't like just to support the DJ - in fact, true support would be to not buy stuff you don't like, but buy something else you DO like. Honesty has to be key, or we're all sunk.

heh...dude I don't keep up with all the latest vinyl releases...I just buy the newest Cd's with the latest trax on them and even then I don't memorize the names of the trax, I just know if its on Bonkers 13, sharkey's mix, track 12....stuff like that. Personally, I don't know why so many dj's are obsessed with vinyl....I mean...cd's have a better sound quality and the new cdj units seem to be as good as turntables (or almost as good).

because most anyone can get a tune on cd, vinyl is nestalgic. most properly mastered vinyls sound 100 times better than a cd imo. cdjs are great for aspiring producers who don't want to spend the cash to cut dubplates.

It's a feelin' you get when your handling a record, it's so much more personal than a cd, the record feels real, you know someone has taken the time to press it unlike cd's which any moron can do at home these days.
It's a great feelin' when you get a new vinyl that has never been played or a really rare vinyl, coz vinyl isn't massed produced like cd's are, and you know you have one of a kind.
