It's around the same for me.
Anytime between 94 and 98 really.
Loved the way it was back then...It was so happy and cheesy!!!
There were so many great tunes that never saw a release on CD's like Bonkers which I thought was disappointing...I always thought there were so many better tunes than the ones that were on those CD's...Anyway,

Favourite tunes:
Discoland,
Scooters: 'Crank it up', 'Friends', 'Monster tune', 'Beautiful Vibes','Endless Summer'...
...There is so many others that I have but unsure on the name cos' track listings never came with the tapes!!

I've always found that hearing the older tunes at raves sends a much bigger rush through your body than a lot of the newer stuff....but hey...It's each to there own....
Really liking the new stuff but i'll always stay with the old.

Anything between 92 and 97, I think Toytown was released in 95 btw, 95/96 was the best years I can remember for hhc, the in 97 I got well into Billy Bunter and Ramos and Marley. The Trancecore thing really sucked me in and I got really pissed off coz it was impossible to find tunes on vinyl. Thats when I switched to D+B, Don't like much of the new stuff, it's too trancy

i have only been into hardcore for about 2 yrs but i love the old stuff. ironically it is much more happy than the new stuff. ie HAPPY hardcore. so i dont no what time what songs can out but i love triple j - have it all, dougal - really love you, tiny tot- discoland, jimmy j and cru-l-t - take me away, force and evolution - perfect dreams, force and styles - paradise in dreams, energy - hardcore fever.

what era is this??????????

'it shouldnt happen to a raver'

ok wheel out the OAP,

87 to 90

pluses altern8, prod, stu allen donavan and bad boy smithes, Ratpack.
break beat ruled

downs... to acid housey, rave became darker and more jungly by 90/ 92
losing piano ( I moan a lot at wanna b bad boys no all thankfully listening to garage and r an b )
Oh and crap chart stuff like Technotronic, black box and 2unlimited making
ignorants think that was the scene.... w**K*RS.

90 to 93

pluses 2bad mice in form, cookie and bigger legal raves
Universe 93 , I was there

downs, to dark and nasty. Jungle and darkness in control.
Techno actually happier and more fun

94 to 98
pluses nu skool golden years, Hixxy Sy sharkey, Brisk Dougal , the list is endless and I was at uni spending my grant on every thing not to do with uni.

downs sometimes to techno thumpy 4 4, chipmonk lyric crap and other dance
sceners sayin your to cheesy, to which I would reply
at least were nice u tossers.

99 to present
ups.. birth of uk hardcore, break beats back, big beat dead up yours far boy poo
now I dont have to listen to you.
Oh and mixmag admitted we were alive an kickin.
Chipmonks dead ( well nearly ) harder edge and more thoughtful

downs sometimes a bit fast for an old timer with nothin to hand and now scared.
a bit to belaric ibiza robbin ( like been on holiday on billy all the time) tryin to compete with trancey chart trash killin good originals

however still 3000% better than R an B crap garage house jungle blah blah

So favorite...well I see it all as on grownin and developing, not always my bag
but always alive.

Hardcore by its nature should take from everywhere, always and so I guess the future as the best is still to come from energy youth and commitment. Keep the faith, look back and ahead

This is not a phase I am going through....this is forever

96 -97 was when I really got into the scene so it's the period I have fondness for the most, and because the tunes at the time were kickin it, and my life was going smooth and it was all happy days, *Nostalgic mist decends......* anyway I like the Euro stuff of the early 90's as well, but I was prob too young to really appreciate it back then, my favourite period of HH though is always the next one, you never know how the scenes going to evolve, who's going to leave and who's going to rise, I like the uncertentyof the future, makes things kick

What a good question! Its hard to say exactly but my heart lies in the HAppy Hardcore Force and Styles era, I only say the Force and Styles era cause back then i didn't relly know the names of tunes just that The ones i liked were predominantly F & S Shooting star field of dreams, you all know the ones :-)

I do however like the rebirth of new skool and the recent boom we've had, I have only been mixing for about 2 years and i love mixing Nu skool!!! t's alot easier than the older stuff too (Can't beat an old skool mix though

I wana see more raves at shepton :-) thats how i remember bouncing to cloudy daze and pretty green eyes, i enjoy Air and Milton Keans but don't like how hot it gets.
