I found Hardcore in 2003 so my favorite era is NOW! And it will probly remain my fav, as that tends to happen. Heres to the future

newer hardcore is pretty good, 96-99 era is awesome, but I really love the 93 style pitched up bouncy techno era.
don't stand and stare, just kick your legs in the air

I would hate to see Happy Hardcore die down anytime soon and I will do anything to keep the genre dominating!

95/96, thats when I first started listening to hardcore. And this last year, the music has just got better and better. Don't really listen to cheese anymore but I loved at the time.
Back then, toy town. Now (ish) free your mind.

'94 to '97 up in Scotland was the best time 4 me..!!
The tunes were bouncy as **** and dutch hardcore
became huge up here..
But in '97 hardcore died in scotland due 2 the closure
of the fubar the rez nosebleed 2 name a few, so am
chuffed as **** that its exploded bck in such a big way.
best tune from bck then Scott Brown's Rock that body
best tune now K-Complex's Adagio

my favourite era is NOW!!
the promos / forthcoming choons on the way which i've been sent are fantastic... highly uplifting / stomping / well produced...
don't forget to look out for lesser known labels n artists... theres some unsigned and smaller label material which I've got from a couple of rising stars which is mind blowing!
also pick any Hixxy tape for example within the last year, packed with storming choons!
theres so much diversity in our current scene its unreal, you've just gotta open ya eyes n ears to it and look a lil further for it sometimes...

Definatly theses years 1995, 1996, 1997.. Don't know what it was like everywhere else around the world, but in Sydney.. Hardcore was massive!! Loads of happy hardcore used to come into the stores each week.. There were tracks like Interactives - Forever young, Tokoyo Ghetto Pussys - Kiss your lips in the charts.. Holland used to make loads of Happy Hardcore as well, instead of just gabber.. Even Germany made Hardcore!! Raves had Hardcore in the main arena most of the night during these years.. Trance was virtually unknown and thought of as doofers music;) No disrespect lol.. The music seemed much faster and crazier back then too.. Except the breakbeat, which was a little slower..
The main labels we used to buy back then were Essential Platinum (Which were completly different to now), Pengo, Knight Force, JAL, Cencore, World of obssession, Happy Jack, Evolution, Next Generation.. A lot are still goin.. But a lot like Pengo, Cencore, Happy Jack etc.. Have disappeared.. I guess things have to evolve, otherwise they go stale.. But anyone who was around during this era of hardcore will no what i'm saying..
