i live in a city, rough population of my area around 400k people, never once have i seen heard, seen, used or know of anyone who has had the heard, seen, used a gun and there is a gun shop only 1/2 a mile or so away from me. the fact is that only farmers and in the huge cities with the drug trafficing do people have guns and don't use police corruption as a example if it is an unjust example. many guns also doesn't create many killings, such as whispering said, per person finland and canada have more guns than america yet they have control over how they use them. this shows it is there for the 'american mentality' (not all, i am generalising, don't take offence anyone) that causes these high numbers of gun crime with your disillisioned perception of reality and that you feel alone, scared and isolated

Sixfeet it's basically a difference of location not country but simple location. My police example was not unjust, trust me. Canada doesn't even try and regulate drugs that have smoke shops everywhere where you can just go in buy some and smoke up. We here in America try and fight the war on drugs which causes the dealers/users and anyone else to strap up. Your "American mentality" thing is starting to piss me off because it's not anything of the sort don't generalize it, for it's people like you who run off at the mouth with stupid comments like that, that I would simply brass no questions asked, I've made no comments towards or AGAINST your country so you do not against mine. Every person is an individual and conducts themselves accordingly to their own. Those are your rights as a human being. america and england have almost exactly the same drug laws and both have quite a large drugs problem yet there are around 80 murders a year caused by guns and almost 20000 in america. the difference is america has leniant gun laws which causes high gun numbers. but then many other countries have higher gun per person ratio than america and have far less murders, so why is this?
can you give any other plausable reason cos so far you haven't

^leniant gun laws? Hardly.
IF you lived where i live youll know that getting an AK-47, Mac-10, Assault rifle's, or Double-Barrelled Shotguns are VERY easy to come by. Just because your local US Sporting Goods Store doenst sell a Rifle to "little johnny" doesnt mean he wont just turn around and get deadly assault rifles from the streets.
Drive-by's are common place. Losing your Life in front of your local High School painfully seems to be the norm around here.... There have even been a deadly rash of freeway shootings that are worrying alotta people around here, including me cuz i drive on one of these freeways.
Gun laws have NOTHING to do with that murder count you got. Our Government has NO CLUE about all the assault rifles in this country. Not by their fault...its just that these weapons are easy to get.

First off cite your statistics. And like tunnel said, it's not the government, it's the people. What other reasons do you want me to say? I can't really say anything more because it's two different worlds we're living in, laws are made to be broken. and for the record brady you cannot buy from smoke shops(well you can in some cases) but they are closed down as they are strictly watched. you are allowed to go there and smoke a big joint that you brought with you but its is not sold from there.

lighten up you're being a dick, this isn't even your thread and it has nothing to do with you. and don't say that you'd "brass" someone here. I didn't mean that youre experiences were gay, but that if they were bad to not continually subject yourself to them if you don't have to. have you ever shot anyone? ever beat someone so bad that they didn't wake up? there are some things that i've been around that i don't talk about and yeah they've sculpted me into a different person than i thought i would be but i got myself away from all that shit because i didn't want to die that way.
