American mentality? Are you kidding me? If you feel your life is threatened by someone why not defend yourself by anymeans necessary? I say strap up with something that you know won't fail you for instance a Glock. Or keep a a Mossberg 500 under the counter and send them to whatever god they wish.

No, in this country we try to keep guns to a minimum, to keep firearm related scenarios to a minumum.

they have proved time and time again that they cannot come to a conclusion, they have to be spoon fed it, such as with the illegal immigrants with wages in wal-mart
people moaned at me when i told them they should pay them the same not realising that if they are forced to pay them the same they lose any incentive to hire them and kablamo theres no more working

Yeah, you obviously try and keep them to a minimum by having armed people rob a bar lol c'mon, it happens EVERYWHERE, it should be an eye for an eye in my opinion as it still is in some third world countrys. Look at it like this, a man steals and is caught, he has his hand cut off. Now I'll bet my hand on it that man never steals again and everyone who witnesses him having his hand cut off for the reason of stealing will never steal. That's just my opinion...every country tries to keep firearms to a minimum but you can aquire them anywhere legally or illegally for any purpose in this mans case for self defense.

I'm guessing there are alot of people in america with your views on firearms/personal protection etc, all i can say is: look where it has got you!
police in the UK arn't even armed apart from armed response and im sure violent crime isn't as high here, but i suppose the damage in america is done now, taking guns off people who genuinly need them for self defence wont reverse things...
