Hi. I have a moped that I am trying to fix and I need to spray the panels. I'm not sure what I have to do really although this is what I think...
1) sand back to plastic with wet n dry paper
2) 2 coats of primer
3) sand til smooth
4) 2 coats of undercoat
5) sand again
6) top coat 2 coats
7) laquer 2 coats
is this correct? any help would be apprciated!
thanks!

sounds a bit excessive to me, i thought all you need was white undercoat to bring out the colour you put on and then 2xlaquer over the colour you put over white basecoat

that is a bit excessive for a scooter. ive done one before and just got away with sanding and usin a spray can. giv it 2 coats then a coat of laquer.
if u want to make a propper job of it, sand back till its smooth, undercoat, sand back where the imperfections are, give it another coat and do the same if u missed any out. then give it a very light sanding with fine paper (wet and dry sort of stuff) to give the paint a key to grip to. then give it 1 or 2 top coats depending what your using/what it turns out like after one coat. then give it one coat of laquer but be careful not to hold the can too close or use too much or it will run and ull have to start again!

cheers ppl!
i dont wanna go too mad on it, the plan really is to make it look clean and new but not 100% perfect.
at the moment the front panel is ok but the laquer has been worn off so ill rub it all back and start again.
ill just give it a base coat, a top coat til its good then laquer.
thanks for ur help! ive started filling ans sanding already
