I was just wandering how would you feel if your house had been burgled and someone stole all your happy hardcore cd's and vinyl? It's not happened to me personally but if it ever did i would be absolutely heartbroken. Cos theres some things that you cant replace! So come on fellow hardcore ravers, show me your true feelins!

How's this for a pi$$er? I was camping out with a girl last year and some yob put through one of the windows in my car and ran off with 99% of my hardcore cd collection that I'd been building up for ten years! I'll never be able to come close to what I had before as most of the cds are now deleted and/or very rare. Plus, I'll never be able to afford it.
I also lent a mate of mine about 50 records including some rare as f**k tunes and some tunes that meant the world to me and then he got broken into and had his decks stolen along with my vinyl.
Heartbroken aint the word. I kissed goodbye to ten years of my life and my memories.

I have my collection hidden all over the place. That way the whole lot couldnt be nicked unless i was very unlucky. just need a good memory to remember what is where.

kind of an absurd question don't cha think? I really don't think that anyone would be happy if they had anything stolen from them...minus when my brother-in-law was trying to get rid of his pos van and would just leave it running when he would run into walmart =P

Donno what i would do, my home insurance basicly covers all my cd's, vinyl and dvd's. But i doubt i would get all of the money back that i've put into them. Not to mention a lot of them couldnt be bought anymore. I have all my CD's in my computer though, but itd still feel like losing a family member :(
If i ever buy a house of my own, it will have a safe for my records / dvd's, that cant be carried out of the house and is water / fire proof :) But then again ive always wanted to have a house with a 3 meter brick wall going round the house, so that the first windows would be in second floor. Little bit like a castle, with a little yard in the middle :p

Word of advice guys and girls, and that is back up what you can and keep everything safe. Don't do what I did and leave a big chunky cd wallet in plain view in an unattended car overnight.
I've been reading this thread with interest because it happened to me. Trust me, it's a terrible feeling to find that your collection has been stolen from you. Mine took ten years to build up and took moments to lose it.
If you loan a mate vinyl, just make doubly sure that you'll get it back. I said my mate could borrow some of my plastic for a couple of days and I just got lazy and kept putting it off and putting it of and now it's been stolen, I'll never get it back.
Just be careful because the word 'gutted' doesn't even come close. I lost out and learned a harsh lesson, so please everyone :- learn from my mistakes.

I'd ONE CD taken from me years ago...never saw it again. I'm still a bit pissed off at it. Now that i've over 300CD's...I don't want to think what my reaction would be if they got stolen...
