Anyone else think that vocalists should get more credit in tracklistsings? The recent Bonkers made a start, but it would be great to know who is singing each tune. It might also encourage more quality vocalists to join the scene as they could raise their profile.
PS: Mr Styles should get on the Mic again, a 'unique' talent his vocal stylings are excellent!

yer i totally agree there.......and not only tht but engineers should too its not an easy job at all yet most of the time on many tunes i know the engineers never get mentioned yet its them whom basically made the track.

I agree, credit where it is due. I also wish they still had the shout outs in the Bonkers albums. Sy's were always hilarious and they added a personal dimension to the records.

I cannot understand why vocalists are not given more credit. I can understand that maybe artists dont want all the cred torn away from them as with certain types of pop music but there is no excuse for not putting the vocalists names on the record at all! Could it possibly be because hardcore producers dont want other hardcore producers knowing who does vocals for them on the off chance they might snatch them away?

If you don't like too much writing just look at the external tracklist on the ablum cover. I want each CD sleave to give as much information as possible about the track's writer, producer and vocalist.
I miss the shouts - they gave the scene personality. Interaction with the fans/ravers makes the hardcore scene unique. Without this the scene becomes another dispassioante, subgenre of dance music that is commercially driven to raise money. I even remebr teh old Fantazia (circa 1991 tape sets asking fans to send in artwork to use).

yeh i agree. the voclaists should get more credit, after all they are one of the main parts of the tracks!! on the album sleeve would just be plain annoying tho. They have a rightful place in the single cd sleeve!!
