I got the Numark battle pack to start off, and they did the thing 4 me. Maybe it took longer as the mixer that came with the pack had no eq on it, so I had 2 learn through listening and not just lookin at some lights moving lol. But the turntables them selfs are really good!

Your buying her a set of decks? You must really like her
I've got Str8-80's and there excellent for me, they've got more torque than technics, a bigger pitch range, and with the straight tone arms they never skip, i scratch the hell out of mine and the needle never jumps. The pitch control is sound as well, theres no drift or anything.
I've actually never used Technics but i can't see how they can be worth almost twice the cost of the Str8-80's, i don't think i'll ever upgrade to Technics... i'm totally happy with 80's as a high quality deck so for a starter deck they'd be more than enough.
Hope that was of some help cos it took me an age to write, lol

technics will last 100 years longer than stantons though i used to have st8-80's and I had no complaints except for the fact that they are digital i like the analog hum ------------------------------ Representing Funshine Productions All Hands On Deck-June 11th *The Original South Hill Hardcore RudeBwoy* http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?pid=556091&T=6235 href="[email protected]" target="_blank" [email protected]" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">rel="nofollow">[email protected]

who said she'll be wearing nothing lol??? anyway that's no worry to me... she's a dancer anyway in our local club. she's danced for yoji biomehanika, dj sy, organ donors, cally and juice, sharkey, clsm, kevin energy, uberdruck to name a few. having her in front of other men in next to nothing is something i'm used to... i just think... well they can look but i got her when we get home if anyone were to touch her the security would sort it anyway.
she's 3rd from the left (the small one)

then u got pics like this where u can nearly see her arse lol...

see what i have to put up with lol?
as for the decks... i found some gemini xl-500's for £100. what do you think? shall i get them? or steer clear of gemini?

i think if she learnt to mix she'd do quite well coz she's alright lookin
we were thinking, once she gets good, that we'll go back to back as a duo sort of thing. she can help me with my productions aswell, she already has a bit on some
