Numark PPD01 is awsome for mixing...the faders are drool worthy - and i scratch a hell of alot too - and they're great for that!

you heard wrong, many many many clubs use AnH mixers. they're very very reliable and have awsome sound quality - most of them are built with the clubs in mind. dont like them for scratching though

most places around here use djm 500/600s. never really used any allen heath stuff, however I've heard nothing but good things about them...pretty much the royals royce of mixers as I've been told =P

never known any hardcore djs to have one, they are primarily built for house/club type venues.

and if those are the only 2 tables you're looking at, get the mk5s

If i had the money id get the Xone 62, i think the DJM is over rated, and i have hurd nothiing but good things about the A&H..

Hmmmm Mk2 or Mk5 is personal preferance, i suppose mk5 are technicly better as they have the improvments like the pictch switch dosent click at 0... i think they have pitch reset and the lights are that funky blue colour!

Hope this helped.

They arent "technically" better though having flashy lights & a pitch reset button though, they arent gonna improve you as a DJ now are they

Dont get a Vestax mixer had mine for less than a year & my upfader's are ****ed.

I'd get a DJM600 absolutely brilliant mixer, so smooth & the sound is incredibly clear, the effects are also supposed to be decent, but i never used them heh.

Allen & Heath mixers are amazing if you can afford one go for it. IMO vestax mixers are crap and you should stay away from them because A. They break easily, B. They (USUALLY) have no cue pan.

Do the mk2 pitch shifts click on 0? if so I'd get the mk3 or 5 but it's not really that big a deal.

if there isnt really a difference in the decks im just gonna get the mk2's i think. even if u do end up with the pitch right on the click u can easily pitch the other record up or down slightly and ur sorted.

ive heard the djm is pretty user friendly so if i get a job in a nightclub i should be able to go from usin the allen and heath to the djm pretty easy, where as the other way round would be a lot harder! (ive also had a lot of use out of a djm 300 which is pretty much the same, just smaller)

has anyone had a go on both that could give me the last shove to go for the a&h? (please lol)

Get the DJM600 mate! You might think the effects are cheesey but once u learn different things with them you can make them not cheesey! Things like the sampler etc are wicked. Everything on the DJM600 is built to last. I've not used an A&H mixer but I have heard they are good. Slinky uses the Xone 92 I think. It's deffo an A&H anyway.

F**k Technics lol, go for something newer, more modern with more features! I got the Stanton STR8-150's and the piss all over Technics IMO. I think there are a new set of Vestax that are better than the Stantons. I know 1210's are industry standard but there is no denying that there are better decks out there!

Only reason I'd want 1210's is coz that's what clubs have but in our genre is mainly CD based anyway so you may even be better of getting some CDJ's!

that is the only reason i want them mate. if i wasnt planning on trying to get in clubs id have the same as uve got! they look mint compared to the technics aswell!

as for cdj's. i hate them with a passion!!!! even so im gonna have to buy at least 1 so i can learn how to use them. **** getting left on the sideline with a box's full of vinyl while everyone goes to cdj's

surely someone on here has used the a&e xone 62 ???? i know the djm is a quality bit of kit, i just need someone who has used them both to compare them

if you want a small mixer, go with the pioneer djm300, but if you want a big one, get the 500 or 600, might as well get used to one at home cuz most of the clubs and parties will have one there. Seems like they are the industry standard alongside technics

Down to personal taste I would rather mix on technics than any other deck i'm not saying other decks are bad I just prefer to use technics, also I know loads of people who have broken vestax decks I don't know anyone with a broken 1210.
