Man i never thought id read a topic like this about hixxy! Come on guys this is HIXXY! lol, the guy almost single handedly brought back hardcore when it was slumping.
That said, il admit ive been a little disapointed with the lack of new material coming out of the Raver Baby camp, and i was also pretty dissapointed with his set at Totally Lost It a few weeks ago.
BUT.... Hixxy being Hixxy, id say he was prehaps goin through a "transitional" period at the moment, and will be back next year with a new sound n style.
Big up the Hixxy, guy wont let us down!

I dont think there is anything wrong with his actual mixing but his track selection could be more interesting and he should stop producing as many remixes, "losing his touch?" no.

well ill admit that hixxy mixes as of late havent been giving me that wow factor but that doesnt actually mean that hes losing his touch, theres still some good tunage in his mixes. he started bonkers and so shall he finish it when the time comes

hixxy is just going through a stage. he cant be the best every time.
this way when he makes a comeback it will be off the hook

i haven't rated his Bonkers mixes very highly post-ressurection. But, saying that, he was the forerunner to the ressurection of hardcore IMO. I thought some of his remixes on B14 and Clubland Xtreme were interesting - a little darker than usual. Just as has already been said, it could possibly be a transitional stage. The guy IS a legend.

I would like him to do some more of them 3 deck mixes and scratching like in Bonkers 1 sheer class, although sum of the mixes were abit sloppy. But i recon we shud try and get in touch and ask him to do somethin likke that in the new bonkers , so we can see if the legend Sir Hicks has still got it!!!
