Hey hardcore people. Just been reading a mag called 3d world which is a dance press here in Sydney. They reviewed Bonkers 14 and this is what it said-
Not so long ago, lets say, in the mid-90's, there was a saying that went something like 'hardcore will never die'. Here we are, a decade later, and the latest Bonkers proves, for now at least, this fabled prophecy. Yep in 2005, those crazy Brits are pumping out the same old shit they always have been. Actually I lie. The music has changed with the times ever so slightly. I note that the tracks are now plagued by breakdowns with broken beats. Perhaps those interludes have been introduced to help prepare Bonkers 12-year old fan base for the next stop, as their musical taste matures; Friday nights at Yu and anything with Fuzzy breaks in the title. For those a little more mature and jaded, those who have moved from wearing Kandy to Kookai, theres still some appeal here. Names like Hixxy, Sharkey, Dougal and Scott Brown will have been implanted in the memory of any twentysomething that made the underage rave rite of passage. And now, although you may scoff at the DJs, there's still some part of you, some inner child, that fondly remembers reaching for the lasers at 180bpm. Before you dismiss this cd, remember that this is your past. Embace it.
Its reviewed by a narrow minded tossa named Sebastian. If you dislike this review. You can email your thoughts to [email protected] and put
I'm raw to the floor cause i love my hardcore.
You know the score and what i'm waiting for. Yeah bro it's banging hardcore!!

Typical clubbers
Living in a world of shit hard house, techno, trance and slowed down gabber... aka hardstyle
not point accepting music which borrows from all those styles and is 40bpm faster, you have to view it as a stepping stone and not a credible style
because relsticly people become more tame as they get older right?
tell that too the uk fans who become addicted to dutch hardcore

meh
anyone with half a brain could figure out that they MIGHT not want to believe that hate-filled diatribe.
hey i can be elitist too!
only really intelligent people listen to Baroque style classical. Everything else is immature, sexed up, or base. There hasnt been any innovation in music since Bach. If you're looking for something shallow and repetitive (as we all did when we were young and stupid, note: young people are stupid) you should go listen to some blues!

Excellent.
HAHAHAHA!!!
Funnily enough - that review isn't a million miles from the truth if we're honest. Some of it takes the piss slightly but it's worryingly accurate if you ask me.
I can only listen to SB & Sharkey's mixes all the way through - the other 2 i just skip to the best bits.
Some people care enough about Hardcore to want it to keep growing and improving - others are just here to enjoy it while it lasts......

Arguably one of the best

Exactly da same as me! Anyways as most of us know, the media/people who write reviews in magazines n stuff are always gonna be doing one of these three things:
A) Exaggerating something way beyond the truth.
B)Slating something they know basically nothing about or jus use the negatives things of what they know to make a good story or review out of it.
C)Just make up a heap of ********e.
What his opinion says whether you agree with it or not shouldn't matter because in the end its what U think.
Hardcore we stand &
Hardcore we will fall
Ravers come 2getha tym 2 give it ur all!

Just ignore it, no matter how good something is there will always be someone who doesn't like it. It's a shame this person (who knows nout about the hardcore scene) says anything other than "I don't like hardcore" but he has an article to fill and that’s why he has cobbled this cliché article together. This kind of thing happens all the time with the media and people should know not to believe everything they read by now.

And again, totally agree. I reviewed Bonkers 14 for another website, and I totally slagged it off, it's a pile of sh*t. If I remember rightly Hardcore fans used to pride themselves on not caring what others thought about them or the music.
Bonkers 14 : Must try harder.
Hardcore Fans : Must stop whingeing.

It is bad, Im sure you guys in UK dont care cause there has always been a negative attitude towards hardcore, but atleast it isnt ignored

Wot a f00kin twat!
Not only does he dislike Bonkers (fair enough i suppose) but he is givin us Brits a bad reputation! If he aint happy wit the "same shit" then he should; make another genre of music, sel it around the world, make it sound different each year, and implant it in the memory of even more twentysomething people.
Until then SHUT THE F00K UP!!! Does it not come across to him that most of us dont mind & like the same stuff?
Sorry i lost it a bit but that really pissed me off.
Why oh why cant you just accept it,
why oh why cant you just accept it,
Im a raver not a f**king drug addict,
yeah thats right i know youll think ill realy like it,
Leave me alone it my life i think its,
