Meh, studio MCing sounds crap.

in a way, it wouldn't be studio style so to say as it wouldn't be recorded, but say if i were to do it, it would be in my bedroom rather than a studio

I didn't mean studio style as in pre-recorded, I ment studio style as in not MCing to a live crowd. The MC-ing I've heard before on CD's when it's not being live has been really poor, so whats to say the MCing in this environment would be any different?

valid point, i was also wondering if there would be a delay that would make the mc'ing not in time with the music.

MCs are for getting the crowd worked up, getting them jumping and going sick... dont think that works on the radio, with the being no crowd and that.

Agreed, an mc is for a party and its a matter of oppinion if you like em or not but if you were into rap you would enjoy a rapper live on radio.

Fair enough i dont think a non lirical mc would cut it, like marley is for the party but i think people like storm and whizzkid or any other lirical mc's would be good. its only when you hear them on tape/recordings you can truely appreciate what they have to say.

I think mc's have come a long way in the last few years, lirics are gettin better and more complex but some people still have the oppinion they ruin sets where, i think, a good mc will compliment the music.

I dont think some mc's get the appreciation they deserve, i think that the revival of hardcore over the last 5 years, in some ways has to be credited to the quality of the top 5 mc's (raves wouldnt be the same without them) and having them on radio would be a good way to show this.

If every radio set had an an mc it would be bad (too much of anything is a bad thing), for the most part they are for the stage but it would be a good variation and would give more exposure to some talented and hadworking people who perhaps wouldent get the exposure they deserve, especially the newer mc's who may find it hard to get people outside there local area to hear them.
