God its hard to quit smooking, so im trying to cut down, the other day i didnt have a cig till 6 at nite, the yesterday i didnt have one till 7, so today im trying to not have one till 8, get my body used to not having cigs all day and get rid of the craving, but its harrrrrrrd. any tips. cheers

I dunno about you but i hate menthol fags, and i find if i have something with a strong minty taste i dont like smoking straight after so just try chewing gum and mints etc, i say that but im still smoking.

The one thing that stopped me though...Hockey. I honestly could not do my normal 30-45 second shifts as hard as i could anymore and id begin to cough and hack like an old man. Once i stopped it was easier to breathe. havent touched em since.
i find that the more athletic people will quit easier because of what sorta happened to me. The people that dont do anything except eat/sleep/ and shit wont even notice what its' doin to their bodies.

i stoped smoking for about a year, but i started smoking occasionally now.

[no one ever really smoked publicly when i was in the 8th grade (last year) so i wasn't really exposed to it much, but when ever i was i'd start coughing and my eyes would start burning.
but this year, now in high school, EVERYONE smokes...noticeably the freshmen. you step outside the building, look across the street during lunch time or after school and you see all the students hanging about smoking. it's pathetic. ugh, i hate how much spit there is in the floor!! it's really sad.]

i been smooking for bout 5 years now, and i cant run 20 meters without collapsing, and now drinking aswell, i know i will have to stop doin something, or else im gonna be really unhealthy. ive had half a cig neway all day. thats good for me, i normally have bout 15 a day, dredding the weekend thoe.

Most are in packs of 10 or 20
Im on about 10-15 a day
More at weekends though

yea a 20 pack i smoke a day, but i dont pay for em, parents give them me.
coz they smoke 2 and buy them in 200's.
suppose would be easier if they didnt give me them, and i payed to die, lol

I used to smoke for about 2 years and i still do sometimes if im at a big pissup or party/celebration. The good news for you is if you quit cold turkey like i did you can then have one whenever you feel like it because you won't crave anymore. I had a few about 1 month ago n havent even thought about em since. Trust me it is hard now but once you do quit it will be worth it. What i tried to do while quitting is to find something to occupy the time i was using for smoking. I used to eat, play xbox, go on d net 24/7....anything that helps. And if none of us can help you and you really have a serious addiction to ciggies then there is always those helpline thingy's.

cant just quit straight away, i nearly started killin family today coz i didnt have a cig, had bout 6 now today, prob have lots tomoz wen im drinking, gonna be hard, but if i cut down, i will soon stop, just need get over the hill.
