I read in a magazine that Holland started something called a "quiet rave". Has anyone heard about this? They give everyone radio headphones and you listen to the DJ by yourself. Its a way to have a rave without the noise. Sounds kind of soft for me but you know Holland is up and coming so I don't know. I'm not sure it was really a rave (what the picture showed) but the kids looked like the oldschool kind of party where everyone is in thier own little dance world... What does anyone think. If you feel its a stupid topic then please reply with whatever smack you have....   I wouldn't throw a party like this unless the real ravers were down. My source is Blender Magazine.

I guess it was in NY or San Francisco... I'm from Chicago. I don't know where you're from Lucifus. Anyone from these 2 places, forgive me for introducing this topic. But if anyone was there??? Again it is in the newest issue of Blender Magazine. So you can take a look at yourself in a mag.

I wouldn't have anything to do with that. raves are about over the top noise and extreme living.

They did this at the Glastonbury festival this year in the UK to get round noise restrictions late at night. Seemed popular enough there as I couldn't even get near the tent because of the queue to get in. Apparently they've been doing it in Holland for a while. Can't say I'd enjoy myself but I suppose you don't know til you've tried it.

What a stupid idea!
Wouldn't be much of an atmosphere if everybody is in their own little world - can't see the point in having a room full of people all doing the same thing, but individually!

Doesn't headphones do more damage to hearing than speakers?
The whole idea sounds boring to me, you don't "feel" the music the same way...
