To those who know me well, or have been picking up the extremely subtle hints/read my silly blog this should come as no surprise.
I'm going to change my sound, I'm going to expand. I'm going to move away from hardcore.
*Feels the earth shake*
Yes, you heard right. I plan to move away from hardcore for a bit. Not right away, but soon-ish. And only for a while. Ok, after I finish all bajillion of my projects (read: 15 or hardcore projects, mainly freeform, and some remixes). I have a lot of kick ass hardcore on the way, so there is plenty of material to keep you guys happy. I hope.
I'm going the progressive trance/drum and bass way. Its not an official omg-leaving-teh-scene, but its like an extended than a holiday.
I can already hear people yelling at me saying that I'm a sellout and what not. Let me tell you one thing. I am a person with a diverse taste in music. I love music as a whole and I just want to make music, regardless of genre. I think only the short sighted stick to one genre, they are limiting themselves.
I guess at the end of the day, I want to get paid to make music, so I make more music. But at the same time, I want to quit my current job to do music, so I have more time for other things. I hear the world outside is sunny, I have not felt the sun on my skin for a loooooooooooooong time.
As I said in my blog, I have a dream, to make music my job. I want to do it for work, because then I get paid to do what I love and I have more time to make more music. Its not about genres any more, its just about the sheer joy of enjoying your creation. Its about the emotion you get when you hear those pads, that catchy riff and the desire you get to dance like a maniac. If I can do that for a living, I will be a happy man.
I guess I wanted to make a post on happyhardcore.com to make this some-what official, because I feel that you guys are my online family, and I feel accountable to you. So its not bragging or nothing, its just keeping my fellow forum members informed and involved.
So to you that enjoyed my music, you can still enjoy it, I'm not hanging up my earphones. To those that enjoyed my hardcore, well, you'll have lots of exciting material to keep you fed for a while. To those that don't care, well, meh.

Respect to you, man. I myself enjoy a wide variety of music. You're a talented producer, one of my faves at the moment in fact, and I'm looking forward to hearing the new stuff.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with producing more than one type of music. Some nice dark DnB or subtle DnB or quality Jungle would be most welcome.

Best of luck to you, I'm interested to hear what you've come up with in the D&B style. You'll have to get some samples together for us.

Don't blame you, most of todays shit is about drawing in the Clubbers and "fluffy love plur bunniez!1" pissy kick-drums and money grabbing wannabe on Top of the Pops wankers. But I won't start with that.
