My personal reasons for 'loving' Happy Hardcore......
1.The uplifting beats, that wenever they kick in a BIG GRIN creeps across my face no matter wat mood i ws in b4.
2.The vocals on such rushing music, not many other genres do the same thing quite as well.
3.The best music u can get@a rave, produces such a friendly atmosphere, where you can get off ure head, Rave nd Shout all night long!!
Thats jst2 name a few......

Because no other music has ever given me a happy uplifting feeling of supreme joy that hardcore does.
Thats my main reason anyway.

It touches me in a way no other music does, and I absolutely love writing and producing it. It is a way for me to express myself. I also like the fact that other people can hear (and hopefully enjoy!) what I've written. Sort of sharing your feelings through music.

I just love dance music from progressive trance right through to speedcore and terror and mostly all of whats in between.
With happy hardcore i love it when it's extreme cheese, not so much nowadays but the old happy dutch style makes me supercharged and it's the happy that got me into hardcore many moons ago.
I cant see my love of raving stopping anytime soon either, not everything coming out's my style but you cant help get into the whole atmosphere and theres loadsa good music aswell.
But aye if it's gonna be cheesy i like it to be total blatant, unashamed cheese with nice phat kicks to dance to behind it.

1. cuz I like the sound of it
2. cuz i need to snap out of the dark, gloomy, agro or melancholic music from time to time and happycore helps. can't always be about blood, hardness, darkness and death, can it?

all about variety knightmare my friend have to agree with you there.
Cos the difference between the happy and the dark is so big not many people like both and i understand that, but i dunno i'd get bored if i didnt listen to loadsa different styles.
At minute i'm mainly into the hardness but most my collection is cheese, tastes are changing all the time they always do but i couldnt ever ditch happy cos of so many gd memories over years.
Something i remember the ionosphere crew wrote on here a while back really clicked with me "creativity transcends the boundaries of genre" i dont think it can be said any better than that.

By Happy Hardcore do you mean 95/96 hardcore?
1. I like the old stuff coz of the beats (as regually pointed out)
2. The 'techno' melodys (some trance does this too)
3. The maddness of speend up vocals
4. Female vocals in tracks like Rainbow in the sky (Paul Elstak) and Sunshine on a rainy day (Slipmat and Euruption)
5. Old skool comp, cds, when one track goes into the next, you get a combination of 'jungle' breakbeats and a drumbeat (Happy 2 B Hardcore 1 is like this) New hardcore comp cds don't do this, it's a bass line and then the next track starts. I should get an old skool jungle cd but then jungle dosn't have any nice techno meoldys kickin' in like tracks such as Technophobia (Bass reaction) or SMD#5 (A remix of a track called Organ Grinder)

Reasons to love Happy Harcore:
1. No other types of music can uplift your soul in the same way.
2. Some of the best vocals out there.
3. I can't help but to kick out my back tires into a full on drift while I'm listening to it while driving.
Happy Hardcore = Happiest ears on earth.

it's uplifting, enthusiastic, and has a very hypnotic/euphoric feel to it. i LOVE driving with it on, and like either raving or just kickin' back and relaxing. i used to be a metalhead. but it gives me a boosted amount of optimism just hearing it, feeling the bass. hardcore 4 life!
