I found it very sad that the whale died.

But it was also nice to see a huge group of people helping the whale. They must have been freezing their asses off in that river, and i think it brought the city of London closer together, to feel like a team.

Its a shame that after all their efforts it died anyway. But this has still brought back some of my faith in humans and how they treat animals.

Nice post Jon O-T, apparently the whale got into the North Sea by mistake.

It knew that it was a very long way from home and needed to go west.

How many other parts of the east coast had it swam in and out of trying to get home,
finally making headway up the Thames thinking that it was on course only to find another dead end.

How very sad is that? Not stupid. Not funny. Just very very sad. Bless it.

A whale dies, generallly happens everyday in the world although this whale became quite famous. If i saw the whale then maybe i would feel for it, but nah i'm not too bothered but i must add...rip whaley.
haha, read that sideline:
Whale says 'I didn't do it on porpoise.'

bit sad but agree with whittler on this matter, plenty die everyday coz of poachers and no one seems to give a shit about them one's

their is in fact a old law where if i whale is found in the british waters and killed then the head must be offered to the king and the tail to the queen, and the bones must be used for the royal garment (whatever all that means i do not know but it was on t.v this morning)

the article is quite amusing if not taken seriously i agree.

but i did feel saddened by the whale dying but like jon says the only good thing that came out of that was seeing humans ACT human for a change.

poor thing its horrible to know tht we kill these creatures every day :(

"Kind Of Like Diana's Funeral"

I love Diana jokes because you know that 99.9% of people go "you can't say that!" in disgust by disrespecting her. However I don't care because I'm as shallow as the waters the whale ended up in
